Day - 1 # Arrival at Bagdogra and travel to Phuntsholing Arrival at Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri railway station and transfer to Phuntsholing (170 Kms 04-

05 Hrs.) The Gateway of Bhutan by Road from India, Phuntsholing is the second largest town in Bhutan

and is located on the Indian border, next to the town of Jaigaon.

Day - 2 # Transfer to Thimphu. Sightseeing in Thimphu After Permit is taken transfer to Thimphu (175 kms – 4 hours). Thimphu is the capital city of Bhutan.

After check in at hotel, half day sightseeing Thimphu if time permits.

Day - 3 # Full Day Thimphu sightseeing Visit King's Memorial Chorten (Monument), Changangkha Monastery (oldest monastery in the valley),

National Zoo (contains national animal takin), National Library (collections of holy scripts), BBS Tower,

Tashichho Dzong (Buddhist monastery), Folk Heritage Museum, Textile Museum, School of Arts and

Crafts (also known as the painting school), National Institute of Traditional Medicine, Traditional Paper

Factory (made from Daphne plant).

Day - 4 # Early morning transfer to Punakha Via Dochula Pass & Chimi Lhakhang. Morning drive (75 kms / 3 hrs) to WangduePhodrang, with a stop en route for tea at Dochu La Pass

(3,100 meters), where on a clear day you can get spectacular views of the Himalayas.

In WangduePhodrang, visit Chimi Lhakhang - The Temple of Fertility.

Afternoon drive to Punakha, City located on the banks of river Mo chhu with very stunning Natural

Scene Scenery, the former capital of Bhutan. Visit Punakha Dzong.

Day - 5 # Morning transfer to Paro Via Buddha Dordenma. Morning travel to Paro (160 kms/5 hrs). Enroute visit Buddha Dordenma, the giant statue of Buddha

near Simtokha. Arrival at Paro (Height: 7525 Ft.) on the banks of river Paro chhu, Clean crystal clear

water. After check in at hotel, half day sightseeing Paro if time permits.

Day - 6 # Full Day sightseeing Paro Visit the Ta Dzong, a circular fortress that once protected this valley from the Tibetan invasion. It is now

the National Museum with an excellent collection of Bhutanese antiquities. A short drive back to the

Rinpung Dzong. This Dzong is the administrative seat of the district of Paro and it also contains a state

monastic community of about 200 members.

Afternoon will drive up to visit Drugyel Dzong which is located upstream to the end of the paved road.

While coming back from Drugyel Dzong, visit Taktsang monastery (Tiger’s Nest) - For that trek - 3 to 4

kms by Walk / By Pony (At Own Cost) & then visit Kichu monastery.

Day - 7 # Transfer To Siliguri. Travel to Siliguri via Phuntsholing (300 kms – 7 hours)

Day - 8 # Departure Departure for Onward Journey
