Once thehunting estate of the Maharajas of Bharatpur, the 29 sq km piece of marshland withover 360 species is one of the finest bird sanctuaries in the world.A handful of Siberiancranes arrive here annually. Commonly seen birds include egrets, ducks, storks,kingfishers, cranes, spoonbills, falcons, etc.There are also animals like deer, hyenas,wildcats, wild boars, and rock pythons.Post Lunch excursion toFatehpur Sikri(22 Kms), the deserted red sandstone city,built by the Great Mughal Emperor Akbar as his capital and palace in the late 16thcentury. It was abandoned soon after it was built when the local wells went dry and itremains today in much the same condition that it was over 300 years ago. It iscomplete with palaces and mosques and used to be a town larger than London when itwas originally constructed. Now it is an extraordinary place to wander around with itsbuildings in near perfect condition.After the visit return back to Bharatpur.Overnight stay at hotel.DAY 02:BHARATPUR SIGHTSEEINGBHARATPUR DELHI [BY: SURFACE]After breakfast at hotel proceed for the of visit of Keoladeo national Park on rickshawwith English speaking naturalist.Keolad eo Ghana National Park- a paradise foravian world. It was declared a reserve for birds in 1956 and later upgraded to NationalPark. UESCO has listed it as World Heritage site. A Rickshaw ride will keep youoccupied to witness the flora and fauna of this sanctuary. 50 Specie of fishes and 375species of birds are found here.
