not also want the same type of inspection when purchasing a preowned Recreational Vehicle (RV)?

Helping You Avoid A Costly Mistake

60% of the RVs on the market today are sold by private owners

Many RV buyers don’t know what to inspect when purchasing an RV and end up with costly repairs after the

purchase. Generally the buyers limit their inspection to the aesthetics of the RV ( Color inside and outside) and

features.

RV Inspection Sample Reports

RV Inspection Connection uses a proprietary software that was developed

specifically for RV inspections exclusively for RV Inspection Connection.

This special software allows RVIC Inspectors to provide their clients with

extremely robust reports with photos and descriptions of every inspected

component.

The RVIC Inspection software allows our inspectors to be extremely thorough,

methodical, and specific when detailing their results of your inspection.

After the inspection has been accomplished, the report must be approved by

the individual inspectors regional supervisor, and then again by an RVIC

corporate representative at the home office.

After it has completed the approval process, it will be emailed directly to

you. This usually occurs within 24 hours of the inspection.

Depending on the type of inspection ordered, it will also be mailed via USPS

Priority Mail to your mailbox. The mailed report will be normally be received

within 5-7 days of the inspection.

Client Requirements – Preparing for your RV Inspection

Prior to the inspection…

You will be provided with Pre-Inspection Agreement and a scope of inspection form outlining what the inspection

process will cover. These two forms require your attention and must be signed and returned electronically to RV Inspection

Connection before the inspection can be accomplished.

You will be contacted by RV Inspection Connection to reconfirm your inspection appointment prior to the inspection event.

You will also be contacted by the assigned RV Inspector who will be accomplishing your inspection. For security purposes

you will be provided a photo of the inspector for your comparison to the arriving inspector’s credentials.

VERY IMPORTANT: Is it absolutely imperative that you locate the RV where it has full hook-up of utilities in order for our

Inspector to provide you with the maximum value from the inspection process. If any utility is not available the

inspector will not be able to provide a full inspection. This is so very important that we will call your attention to it many times

in preparation for your RV Inspection.

Types of Inspections

When you survey the world of RV Inspections you will find that they come in all types, quality and value. Here at

RV Inspection Connection we have three levels of inspection for you to evaluate and choose from.

•Essential: General overview of the RV you are considering.

•Essential Plus: A more in-depth review of your future RV including fluid analysis, if you are considering a

motorized unit.

•Premier: The most thorough inspection for that discerning buyer who wants to have the greatest amount of

knowledge before investing their hard earned money into their RV.

Just as it is wise to get an inspection before purchasing a home, it is even more important to have your future

RV inspected before signing on the dotted line. Most RVs actually have more systems to be evaluated than a

typical home. The systems can and will provide the future owner with sour experiences if they are in disrepair

and these issues are not disclosed before the purchase experience. This is the key reason to have it inspected!

It is our hope to provide you with Peace of Mind in the purchase or selling experience.

Why should I get an Inspection on my RV? Video Link

Don’t let you next RV purchase be a Lemon

your answer to this question may be "INSPECTION!!!!! WHAT INSPECTION?“ you may not Know:

• RV Inspection services in the past have been offered, as an nationally offered independent Inspection Service. The

purchaser could request the RV Dealer provided an Inspection. This generally is a limited depth, biased inspection

in order to sell the RV or recommend service to fix issues. Keep in mind they are interested in Selling the RV, not

uncovering issues and problems.

• If you are buying the RV over the Internet, the seller only provides minimal Information about the features, not the

condition of the RV that would inhibit the sale. Buyer either need to travel to where the RV is located or trust the

seller has disclosed everything.

• Some of our inspections have discovered that the advertised RV on the Internet was actually a different RV

when the Inspector performed their Inspection.

Without an RV inspection, your leisure time may be spent repairing problems on the RV, that could have been

discovered during a pre-purchase RV inspection. As the old saying goes "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of

cure“

Provide Fluid Analysis services

Oil and coolant analysis adds a whole new level of diagnostics that you just can’t get any other way.

Internal parts depend on oils and coolants to remain stable between service intervals. Oil and coolant analysis

tells you when your oils and coolants experience any signs of early breakdown or contamination.

Not only do our lab service check for signs of thermal breakdown, mechanical breakdown or contamination;

but, they also check for any indication of internal part wear.

Oil and coolant analysis allows you to detect anything that might need your attention long before they can

result in road calls, expensive repairs or lost travel time. Knowing the condition of your oils and coolants,

through periodic sampling and analysis, improves the overall reliability of your RV.

What would an Oil Analysis Tell me?

• Oil analysis measures additive levels, wear metals, contaminants (such as water or internal coolant or fuel

leaks) soot levels, viscosity, oxidation, and nitration.

• First, the oil is checked for viscosity loss (thinned out oil) and thermal breakdown (too much heat)

• We also check for signs of fuel and coolant caused by faulty injectors or leaking head gaskets and we check

for nitration that may indicate improper fuel/air mixtures.

• We can tell all of that from the analysis plus we can detect the early stages of wear on internal parts

Think of it as “Healthcare for

RVs” analogous to blood test for

people

Fluid Analysis results

Over the past year, NRVIA Certified RV Inspectors have been performing fluid analysis as part of their inspections

and we have been tracking the results of those tests. We now know that over 25% of the oil samples that have

been pulled, show some type of problems. These problems may range from injectors firing too much fuel into the

cylinders thereby diluting the oil, to finding metal particles in the oil indicating excessive bearing or piston wear.

All of these things are examples of what the customers did not know existed until a NRVIA Certified RV Inspector

pull the fluid samples and sent them to the labs for testing. When we look at $20,000 to $30,000 to rebuild a diesel

pusher engine, these findings are a major item that justifies the RV Inspection cost. It tells your client what is

going on inside these engines without having to tear the engine down.

Tom Johnson is probably the country’s most knowledgeable resource of fluid analysis. Tom retired as the lead

engineer at Allison Transmission and was instrumental in developing TranSynd transmission fluid that we see in the

Allison Transmission, which is used in a majority of today’s big motorhomes. Tom and Barney are certainly the “Go

to Guys” when it comes to fluid analysis… and they are in your corner backing up inspectors with their detailed

reports when you pull those fluid samples.

condition. Once the inspection has been completed and evaluated by the RV Inspection Connection Team you

will be provided with the inspection report to help you make an informed purchasing decision. All reports will

be published in a PDF format and emailed to you. The Essential Plus and Premier reports will also be published

in hardcover and sent to you via Priority Mail.
