A MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRDear BG SIG members,
I hope you enjoy the spring edition of the BG SIG newsletter! As usual we have a wealth of information for you. On page 2 we summarized the aging related options at 2012 ABAI, as well as highlighted the 2011 SIG student researcher award, Ryan Gutterson. New for this year, page 3 discusses the membership study discussed at the 2011 business meeting. We hope you consider taking the time to complete
the survey. Finally, we provide a summary of the research in the area of behavioral gerontology. I hope you enjoy the newsletter and we look forward to seeing many of you at ABAI.
Best, Jon

Take Our Survey!
You are invited to participate in a membership survey that will
help the BGSIG officers to better understand our needs. Questions
will address the type of aging-related events members attend and
funding opportunities available for aging researchers.
The survey should take less than 10 minutes to complete. The
overall results will be presented at
the ABAI 2012 business meeting
in Seattle, WA (Saturday, May 26
from 7-7:50PM in room 603 of
the convention center) and
printed in the Fall 2012
newsletter.
You’re feedback is important
to us. The information gathered
will be used by our officers to
establish a baseline from which to
judge our progress.
Help us to get to know our
membership!
