ExtEnding thE ExpEriEncE[Your namE hErE] mania!

A clown doesn’t take him or herself too seriously, and pokes fun at him or herself to bring joy to other people. In this activity, your students can create a poster or piece of art work that allows them to use their own inner clown to make others laugh!

1. Take a picture of each student and print it on paper that they can write and draw on.

2. Affix the picture to a piece of poster board.

3. Using a marker, ask students to graffiti their own picture to make it funny (e.g. draw a mustache on their face, or create a funny costume or hat, etc.).

4. Next, ask your students to create a list of goofy facts about themselves (e.g. “I can touch my nose with my tongue,” or “I take the cheese off of my pizza before I eat it.”). Decorate the poster board with the goofy facts.

5. Once the pieces are completed and decorated, title them in the following format: [Student’s Name] Mania!

6. Make a display for the posters so that your students’ inner clowns can make others chuckle!
