Bexar 4-H in Action

Can we interest you in something sweet? In Bexar 4-H the fun never ends. The new

4-H year kicked off with our annual Choco-

late Sale fundraiser. The money raised from

the Chocolate Sale is budgeted to help cover

the cost of 4-H County events as well as

partial reimbursement of members for Dis-

trict and State competitions. As the temper-

atures cool 4-H activity heats up with National 4-H week beginning

the first Sunday in October, highlighted by a 4-H Proclamation at

Commissioner Court, National Youth Science Day, and concluding

on Saturday with One Day 4-H.

If selling candy, planting trees, informing neighborhoods about

animal care services to control stray pets, or community educa-

tional presentations about Operation Military Kids in support of

military families didn’t get your attention there was more. Pow-

ering the future by being “Wired for Wind” as a part of 4-H Na-

tional Youth Science Day or Boo!! Tanica at the San Antonio Chil-

dren’s Garden.
