www.axialvinos.com History of brand: The Otto Bestué family credits its historical dedication to vine growing with detailed documents dating back to the year 1640, in which we find the proof of the beginning of the culture into the world of grapevines and olive trees in this property of Enate, Somontano. Lorenzo Otto Bestué, together with his father Lorenzo, have taken the next step forward for the future by creating an authentic and familiar winery where they continue to elaborate wines with great care that will take the family name to advance the story even further. Vineyard: The Otto Bestué estate has 45 hectares of vineyards of the best quality located in the heart of the Denominación de Origen de Somontano, distributed in five estates; Mezquita, La Sierra, El Plano, Santa Sabina and Rableros, from which we gather our grapes Chardonnay, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo, these two last ones used in the elaboration of this wine. Fermentation & Ageing: BESTUÉ Rosado is made from Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, coming from family owned vineyards planted in the heart of the D.O. Somontano. The grapes were destalked, crushed and macerated with skins during 6-8h.Then, the pressed must fermented for around 15 days at a maximum of 16-18ºC. Finally, after the cold stabilization, the wine was filtered and bottled. Winemaker's notes: Crystal strawberry pink colour with violet hues on the rim. In the nose is exuberant with intense and very clean primary aromas, fruity aromas stand out (small red berries and sweet fruits) over floral hints (roses). In the mouth, this Rosé has plenty of powerful fruit that possesses a long finish. It is a well balanced young wine with a long finish. Service suggestions: Serve at 8-10ºC as aperitif or with tapas, pasta or poultry dishes. Awards: Gold Medal, Sommelier Wine Awards 2012, United Kingdom, vintage 2011 85 Points, R.
