Workshop: masks

One group prepared masks using coloured cardboard, scissors and glue.

‘Carnival in Brasil is fantasic. My favourite costume is a princess because I have a long dress.’ SARA

‘During Carnival only people in Trieste eat ‘krofi’, ‘fritole’ and ‘crostoli’. My favourites are ‘crostoli’. They are biscuits with sugar.’ AILEN

Decorating the school hall

After making the masks the pupils decorated the school hall for the Best Costume Competition.

Workshop: costume making

Pupils made their own costumes during Art lessons at school. They used coloured rubbish bin bags and different types of paper. They also used scissors, staplers and glue.
