The Center for Stroke Research Berlin (CSB) and the Department of
Neurology of the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, together
with the European Stroke Organisation (ESO), have created an exciting
training course for young neurologists dedicated to stroke medicine.
During this 5-day summer school, 46 neurologists from 27 countries
participate in a comprehensive training.
National and international experts guide through the programme by
lectures, interactive seminars, excursions and focussed workshops.
You will have also time to discover Berlin as a fascinating capital full of
science, history and lifestyle.
We are looking forward to an exciting meeting and wish you a pleasant

FAQHow to get to... ?
Factory Berlin: Located in the heart of Berlin approximately 30 minutes
walking distance from Motel One and 25 minutes from the Adina Hotel. You’ll
arrive faster if you take the tram M10 in front of the Berlin central station
‘Hauptbahnhof’ (from Motel One) or ‘invalidenpark’ (from Adina) direction
S+U Warschauer Str. During the day, the tram runs every 5 minutes. Get off
after 6 stops at U Bernauer Str. from there you have to walk about 3 minutes
to get to factory Berlin in Rheinsberger Str. 76/77. Please follow our signs
from there to the ‘Big Room’ on the first floor.
Hörsaalruine Charité Campus Mitte: The Charité Campus Mitte is only a 10
minutes walk (800 m) away from the Motel One. Just walk down invaliden-
straße heading towards the Spree river. After crossing the bridge turn right
and enter the Charité Campus through a gate on the left side. The ‘Hörsaal-
ruine’ is located in the first building on your right side (internal address:
Virchowweg 16). Please follow our signs from there.
Berliner Medizinhistorisches Museum der Charité: The Museum of Medical
History is located right next to the Hörsaalruine (see above) at Virchowweg
17. Please visit bmm-charite.de for more detailed information.
Charité Notfallzentrum: The Emergency Centre is located at Philippstraße
10. Take the elevator to the 2nd floor to get to the Neuro ICU (Station 102i).
How about transportation in Berlin?
Public transport: The public transportation system in Berlin is dense, fast
and well interconnected. You only need one ticket to ride all the different
means of transport. Please note that tickets need to be validated after you
have bought them – so look out for the yellow validating machines! On week-
days bus and tram services are running all night long. During the weekend
S- and U-Bahn provide a 24-hour service. We recommend buying day tickets
or a Berlin WelcomeCard for 6 days. The ‘AB-Zone’ includes the inner city
circle including Tegel Airport. if you need to get to/from Schönefeld Airport
please make sure to buy a ticket for the ‘ABC Zone’.
• Day Tickets Zone AB: 7,00 €
• Berlin WelcomeCard 6 days Zone AB: 42,50 €
You can also download the BVG App to purchase public transportation tickets
directly with your mobile phone. for more information check: bvg.de
Bike: You do not want to experience Berlin only via public transportation?
Rent a bike and cycle around the city! You can find nice bicycle paths in
almost every area in Berlin.
Taxi: Always a good alternative to get home in case there is no immediate
public transportation around. The driving style and speed of some cab drivers
in Berlin might make you bit dizzy though. Call +49 30 202020 or download
the MyTaxi App on your mobile phone.
