Breeze Arts Week is a week FULL of different arts activities for young people, you can book for just one or as many as you want!
Choose from creative writing, film-making, a comic workshop, drama and a DJ taster session.
Mon 28 Oct, 10am – 12pm. Creative writing workshop with Martyn Bedford, for ages 11 – 16.
Calling all budding young authors! Develop your creative writing skills and get tips and advice from this leading young adult author, shortlisted for the Leeds Book Awards 2012.
Tue 29 Oct, 10am - 12.30pm. Micro short film challenge with Pocket Projects,
for ages 5 – 11. In this fun introductory workshop you will learn how to plan, script, film and edit your very own
short film.
Tue 29 Oct, 1 - 3.30pm. What's in today's news? - Mini-Documentary Production Challenge with Pocket Projects, for ages 12 - 18.
Can you rise to the challenge to create a storyboard/shoot and edit a 3 minute documentary based on a current news story taken from the day’s newspaper?
Wed 30 Oct, 1 – 4pm. Comic workshop with Jim Medway, for ages 11 – 19. Create your own comic book characters and get lots of drawing tips and advice.
Thu 31 Oct, 1-5pm. Drama workshop – ‘Extraordinary’ for ages 10 – 16.

Aged between 10 and 16? Interested in performing? Come along to this drama workshop by
Carriageworks Young Theatre Maker’s Director Ruth Cooper and help to build an exciting group performance telling the story of a child genius who’d rather not be extraordinary any more. You
don’t need any experience of drama to take part in this workshop.
Fri 1 Nov, 10am – 12noon and 1-3pm. DJ School UK Taster Session, for ages 13 – 19. DJ School UK will be hosting two half day workshops where you can learn the basics of DJing using some of the most up to date professional DJ equipment available. You can learn how to
mix, beat match and scratch so if possible please bring 2 CDs with some of your favourite music.
Each workshop costs £3 (£2 with a Breezecard), tickets can be
