years, longer than Earth's seas According to scien-tists, though Pluto is known today as a ball of frozenice and rock orbiting the sun at a distance of 3.7 bil-lion miles, it may have been hot when it first formed,allowing liquid water to form on its surface, and po-tentially provided the conditions needed to supportalien life.
