Dealing With
Emergency Dental Problems
Toothaches
A dose of analgesics like acetaminophen can
temporarily subdue the pain for about six
hours. Cold compress helps too, while waiting
for dental aid.
Knocked Out Tooth / Teeth
Pick up the tooth or teeth, and very carefully
rinse it well. Put it back in the socket and then
go to the dentist immediately.
Broken Tooth
Go to the dentist as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, apply cold compress to reduce the
swelling and clean the mouth by rinsing it
thoroughly with warm water.
Foreign Body Stuck Between The Teeth
Or Gums
Take it out gently with a piece of dental floss,
or toothbrush. If it cannot be pulled out do not
force it in order to prevent further injury. Go
the dentist in seek of emergency aid.
Bitten Tongue or Lip
Gently wipe the area, apply cold compress to
lessen the pain. Go to the nearest hospital for
emergency treatment.

Dental Bridges Defined
Dental Bridges These are suggested for patients who have
encountered most cases of tooth loss.
Dental Bridges
It is an artificial replacement for the loss tooth
characterized by a crown used to replace the
area.
3 Types of
Dental Bridges
Traditional Fixed Bridge
This type of dental bridge can’t simply be
done by extracting the decayed tooth in your
mouth and replace it as you wished to.
Traditional Fixed Bridge
This process is characterized by placing the
pontic (false tooth) over the gaps left by the
extracted tooth and held in place by porcelain
veneers.
Resin Bonded Bridge
This type of treatment is recommended for
patients who simply lost their front teeth.
Resin Bonded Bridge
This is less expensive than the other
treatments but it requires the abutment
teeth to be strong and healthy enough and
shouldn’t have large fillings as well.
Cantilever Bridges
These are also suggested for the missing
front tooth/teeth just like the resin-bonded
type but their main difference is the price.
Cantilever Bridges
This procedure is characterized by
connecting the pontic to one side with the
use of your remaining teeth beside the gap
left by the missing tooth/teeth.

Bring Back the Smile To Your Face with
DENTAL IMPLANTS
Teeth can be knocked out through
traumatic situations, unwise eating habits,
incorrect cleaning procedures, and neglect
can cause decay.
Gum diseases can also be
a reason why we lose them.
Replacing missing teeth may not be a problem because there are many
ways to do it.
After considering dentures and dental crowns,
which sometimes give a “false” look and feel,
dental implants offer
the best option.
It imitates the real tooth by going through the
gums, and screwed right in to the bone. This
means it is to stay there permanently.
Implants are structurally the
same as the natural one, and just as strong and
durable.
It makes one chew food more efficiently.
It will also help you avoid adverse bond
conditions and misaligned bites.
And the most rewarding part of having
implants is to be able to flash that
radiant smile again.

How To Recover After A
ROOT CANAL PROCEDURE
During the root canal procedure, avoid using your
treated teeth until the filling
has been placed and the whole process is finished.
Eat only with one side of your mouth.
After the procedure, refrain from
eating and drinking for a few hours.
Analgesics like ibuprofen and naproxen should
be taken right away or even an ice pack will
suffice the pain.
The pain should not prevent you from doing your
normal activities. Otherwise…
consult your dentist.
If the pain still persist after a week or two, the
wisest thing to do is to visit or call your dentist as this may indicate a
problem with the filling.
Aside from painkillers, your dentist may also
recommend anti-bacterial treatment to
avoid future tooth problems.
Proper care and maintenance
of oral hygiene is still best in order to prevent tooth decay and other tooth related problems.
