We are celebrating the 17th year of Geno Auriemma’s Fore the Kids Charity Golf Tournament supporting Connecticut Children’s Medical Center on June 24, 2019. This is a wonderful opportunity for your business partners to “tee it” up with Hall of Fame Coach Geno Auriemma. Your “round to remember” at the prestigious Hartford Golf Club will include NIKE apparel and gear, brunch, beverage and food stations on the course, and dinner catered by none other than Geno’s Grille. Tournament proceeds will fund Connecticut Children’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with the purchase of a new transport isolette: a self-contained, high-performance transport incubator. As a Level IV NICU, the highest level trauma certification, the Medical Center treats the sickest infants in the region. Last year more than 300 newborns were transported to Connecticut Children’s from regional hospitals, and this new isolette will enhance the care we can provide to these tiny patients on their way to Connecticut Children’s.
Proceeds will also fund the Division of Orthopedics with the purchase of a highly specialized Spinal Surgery Table for patients undergoing complex spine surgeries. Surgeons can more easily position, rotate and stabilize the patients using this highly specialized device. This equipment will bring next-level care and positive outcomes to children with spinal issues and deformities. We look forward to an exciting tournament and hope you will join us.
