Now that the holiday season is behind us we can all breathe a bit more deeply, rest a little bit, and relax a tad...Wait! What? More holidays in February? That’s right gang. Buckle up, because the month of February is going to be jam packed with holidays, celebrations and great fun times at Belmont Village. Right off the bat we have a ‘semi-holiday’ mention with Groundhog Day. I always like to mention this day because it’s my anniversary of falling out of the car when I was a young boy. Thankfully, that event was only a one-time event and doesn’t repeat itself like the poor groundhog seeing or not seeing his shadow. What will it be this year? The next monthly event happening is Super Bowl 50, February 7th. This is almost like a national holiday for people; be sure to check out the party we are hosting in the Bistro that day. The following holiday is a week later - Valentine’s Day, February 14th. We will certainly be hosting a wonderful and beautiful event for all you lovers out there. Chinese New Year was a big hit last year with the fine cuisine we prepared in Josephine’s Kitchen. This year, starting February 8th is the Year of the Monkey; we will celebrate on February 20th. And last but not least, the holiday for “Movie Stars,” Directors, Producers and the like. The Academy Awards will be hosted on February 28th and we always have a great time at Belmont Village. ‘Tis the season to celebrate shadows being seen, enjoying a sport everyone loves, looking for love mid-way through the month, turning the year over to the Monkey, capping it off with a Celebrated Celebrity Show and then having an extra leap-year day in February. ‘Tis the season to always celebrate, every month -- even the shorter ones. I’ll see you all out there... ~ James The Best Team... The best management team I have ever been part of...
