Hints:

• Callers with numbers you’ve listed will be notified their calls have been rejected, but you won’t even hear the phone ring when they call.

• Unknown callers and out-of-area calls can’t be added to the Call Block list.

• If a number on your Call Block list is also on your Call Selector or Preferred Call Forwarding list, Call Block takes precedence.

• If a number on your Call Block list is not the main number for a caller’s RingMaster service, calls fromthat number will not be blocked.

• Call Block will not block calls from wireless telephones, most coin telephones, or operator-assisted calls, and may not work if the incoming call is from a telephone number in a multi-line hunt group.

Control how many times your phone will ring before calls are forwarded

• Set the number of rings from two to nine

• Callers are sent to the number you specified

• Assign a co-worker to answer incoming calls when you’re in a meeting

If you want to: Do this:

Change the number of rings Press . .In some areas, you will enter the number of rings that you want — anynumber from 2 - 9. In other areas, you will enter a code that represents the number ofrings you want. See the table below for these codes.

When you hear the dial tone after the short tones, hang up — the number of rings has been changed.

Hint:

• If you subscribe to Call Waiting, changing the number of rings also changes the length of timebefore a waiting call is forwarded. Your caller may hear an extra ring due to connection timing.

Hints:

Call Return

If you want to: Do this:

Use Call Return Press . (The phone number, date, and time of the lastincoming call are announced.)

Return the call Press (or hang up if you do not want to return the call).

Turn off Call Return Press . After the announcement, hang up.

Hints:

• If the other phone is busy, you’ll hear an announcement. Call Return tries the number for up to 30minutes – and you’re still able to make and receive other calls. When your call is ready, you’llreceive a special short-short-long ring on your line. Just answer your phone, and the other phonerings to complete your call.

• A Call Return request can be initiated for more than one telephone number at the same time.

Did you know?

Call Return will not return calls that are marked private. You’ll get a fast busy signalor an announcement if Call Return can’t return a call for any reason. And, if callsare returned to a number outside your local calling area, usage or long distancecharges may apply to your account.

Hint:• If you subscribe to Call Waiting, you will hear the same difference in call waiting tones.

• Wait until you hear a complete ring pattern before you answer.

• One subscription to Call Forwarding serves both your main and RingMaster telephone numbers — either forward all numbers to the same telephone number (available in certain areas) or forward the mainnumber only (your RingMaster numbers ring through as usual).

• Distinctive ringing is heard only at your end — the ring sounds normal to your caller.

• Distinctive ringing is not heard on forwarded calls.

• Directory listings are provided free of charge for your main and RingMaster numbers.

Initiate Three-Way Calling Press your flash key or your phone’s switchhook to place your first call on hold. At the dial tone, dial the second person (you may talkprivately with the second person while original call is on hold). If youget a busy signal or no answer on your second call, just click the flashkey or switchhook twice to continue your original call.

3. If the number is busy or there is no answer, click the switchhooktwice to be reconnected to the original call.
