Bellevue Invitational Drill Meet Overview 18 April 2015, Bellevue West High School Now in our 15 th season, the BIDM is an invitational JROTC drill competition jointly hosted by the Bellevue East and Bellevue West high school AFJROTC programs. Normally held in mid-March, scheduling conflicts forced the move to April for this year only. In 2015 HQ AFJROTC has designated the BIDM as the regional level completion for the central states region. Air Force JROTC teams placing at the top of our competition are qualified for the Air Force National Drill Competition. JROTC Drill teams from other service branches will continue to be invited and accepted on a first registered and paid bases until our maximum of 25 teams is reached. This year all competitions will be held at Bellevue West High School. We will hold competitions in the areas of: regulation drill with and without weapons, exhibition drill with and without weapons, military color guard, first year unarmed regulation, one and two person armed exhibition, and individual drill down. To provide continuity with the majority of drill competitions in our region, Army Field Manual 3-21.5 will be used as the judging standard. Individuals or teams using simulated weapons weighing less than 6 ½ pounds will incur a scoring deduction. We will continue to provide five highly qualified, volunteer judges for each competition area. This of course is dependent on active duty, guard and reserve operational tempo. Our priorities are first; keep the same judges in place for the duration of each competition category. Second: to recruit experienced NCOs and Officers from all services. Third: to recruit the large number of volunteers needed to provide 5 at each venue. Detailed rules and scoring procedures are provided in the BIDM operational instruction that follows. Bellevue Invitational Drill Meet Overview

18 April 2015, Bellevue West High School

Now in our 15th season, the BIDM is an invitational JROTC drill competition jointly hosted by the Bellevue East and Bellevue West high school AFJROTC programs.

Your copy of this document is available on the Bellevue East AFJROTC web site along with examples of the scoring sheets and the registration form. Please make checks payable to Bellevue West AFJROTC.
