BELLERBYSGCSE - UK HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION EQUIVALENTBrighton / Cambridge / London / Oxford

Bellerbys course is one year September – June

(three terms) or January to November (four terms)

Entry requirements

• Minimum age 14

• IELTS 4.5*

• Good school report from home country

• Intensive Study 5-6 subjects – Maths, English, Computer Studies + Science & Business subjects, Arts and Languages

• 30 hours per week in class

Assessment

• Coursework and final examination in June or November

• Result grades A - G, pass is A, B, C, with four/five passes required for progression to A Level and Foundation

* Students whose English level is less than IELTS 4.5 can follow Pre-GCSE in Brighton or English Language Preparation in Cambridge, London & Oxford.

BELLERBYS

Bellerbys courses are two year (six terms), one and a half years

(five terms) or one year (three terms)

18-24 hours per week in class

Entry requirements

• Minimum age 15

• IELTS 5.5*

• High School graduation (Maths & Sciences background necessary for Maths & Science A Levels)

• Students whose English level is less than IELTS 5.5 can follow English Language Preparation.

Four subjects chosen for example

• Scientists and Engineers: Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology

• Business & Humanities students and Lawyers: Maths, Economics, Accountancy, Business Studies, English Literature, Psychology

• Some additional subjects available such as Art, Graphic Design, Geography, History, Law, Media Studies, Politics, Sociology, IT and Modern Languages

Assessment

• Module exams during the whole course – AS modules “half-way” through, A2 modules at the end.

• Final grades A,B,C,D, or E

• A’s and B’s required for top universities
