• The course will be scheduled during the on-team blocks
• The course combines the standards for 7th and 8th-grade grade-level mathematics courses along with Algebra I • The program will combine three (3) years of mathematics into two (2) school years so students have the opportunity to take an additional advanced placement mathematics courses in high school

Being Prepared to Learn:What is a “Team”?
Teams are an organizational structure that creates opportunities for a group of teachers to work with a common set of students - allowing for collaboration among teachers, integration of curriculum, and coordination of activities to best promote learning for every child. At Har-Bur Middle School:
– The two 6th-grade teams are Emerald and Garnet– Each team consists of approximately 115 students– There are six (6) core teachers per team:

• The Emerald Team will attend on September 18 & 19, 2014
• The Garnet Team will attend on September 25 & 26, 2014
• We will leave HBMS at 8:45 a.m. and return at 5:30 p.m. Students will need to arrange for rides home.
