Being Pat ient

Page 2: Being Patient

OK, so you’ve decided to save yourself a world of hass les by

booking a Disney rental strol ler rather than trying to take your

own strol ler on vacation through the airports and al l the rest of it . But even though gett ing a Disney

rental strol ler makes l i fe a lot easier on vacation,

Page 3: Being Patient

we would be lying if we said that absolutely everything is going to go exactly the way you want it to

during your family vacation to Orlando, Florida. We hope that a lot of things do and that you have

a lot of fun in our beloved city, but we’re also real ist ic .

Page 4: Being Patient

A lot of people come to Orlando with their famil ies for just one

reason: Disney World. The Walt Disney World Resort is by far the

most popular theme part in Orlando, although it has to be said that Universal Studios is putt ing up an extremely good

f ight in the competit ion department.

Page 5: Being Patient

But no matter which of these theme parks you have planned to vis it , you can bet that a whole lot of other people have had exactly the same idea, especial ly during

the winter months,

Page 6: Being Patient

when the cl imate of Orlando is at i ts most attractive (especial ly

compared to the more northern bits of the USA where it gets a lot

colder) . And this means that i f you vis it a theme park and want to go on a r ide or see an attraction, you’re going to have to wait in queue along with everyone else.

Page 7: Being Patient

Nobody l ikes wait ing in queues, and sometimes, you have to ask

whether people are worse at doing it now than they were even twenty

years ago – thanks to onl ine banking and onl ine shopping and al l the rest of it , we have fewer

opportunit ies to practice patience.

Page 8: Being Patient

And that’s just the adults! We al l know that small chi ldren of an age

to be r iding in a Disney rental strol ler have even

less patience and want whatever it is RIGHT NOW!!!!

Page 9: Being Patient

However, this is where you can get extra value for money out of your tr ip to Disney World – as

wel l as giving your chi ldren great experiences at the theme park,

you can also help them learn the value of patience.

Page 10: Being Patient

Now, parents can often draw on some inner (and outer!) resources when it comes to patience. Thanks

to modern telecommunication devices, we can go onl ine and see what our Facebook fr iends are up to while we’re in the queue (and post a status along the l ines of “Wait ing in a big long queue at

Disney World for…”).

Page 11: Being Patient

Or we can pursue some train of thought in our heads to while

away the t ime. However, chi ldren don’t quite have these resources,

either mental or electronic.

Page 12: Being Patient

This is where you get to pass on some techniques for helping your chi ldren learn to wait patiently in a queue – and these lessons wil l

stay with them long after the pictures of your Disney tr ip have

been taken.

Page 13: Being Patient

As you’re standing up, you can at least f idget and shift your posit ion

a bit , which can help pass the t ime. Your chi ld is (or should be) very f irmly strapped into the seat

of a Disney rental strol ler and doesn’t quite have the abi l i ty to

burn off energy

Page 14: Being Patient

– and we al l know how cranky a chi ld can get i f they don’t get the chance to wriggle about. However,

you can use that Disney rental strol ler to good advantage and make sure that you have some resources handy to help your chi ld learn how to be patient while wait ing in a queue at a

theme park.
