Seed tankEstrela is an agile and large articulated pneumatic planter with

a planting wheelset positioned between rows. Estrela can be used on all types of terrain, maintaining the space between rows as it is equipped with the CES (Stara Spacing Compensator) system. Equipped with a fertilizer and seed tank. Its daily yield, depending on the region, is as much as 86 ha/day* in a 9-hour shift.

It has an exclusive transport wheelset, allowing the machine to be transported along narrow roads or bridges.

Available in 22, 26, 28, 30 and 32 row models with 45 cm of spacing. The Estrela is factory-equipped with Topper 5500, the most complete controller for precision agriculture and also features the market’s top seed distribution system, Stara DPS.

The tipping fertilizer tank, with distribution by gravity and a capacity that varies from 3,300 kg to 4,800 kg, depending on the product.

The major difference of the Estrela is its patented CES – Stara Spacing Compensator system. It allows for planting on undulating terrain or terraces, maintaining the space between rows. This is possible thanks to the trapezoid chassis joint that maintains the space between rows, providing a far more accurate and even plant on any terrain.

With CES, terrain copying capacity is up to 14° up and 14° down, equal to a movement of up to 1.5 m from the rows at the end of the Estrela.

The four fixation points

The Estrela planter is equipped with three turbines. One is responsible for feeding the seed ejectors and the two others for spreading the seeds.

Estrela have central tank of seeds, providing to the farmer great autonomy of work and agility when refueling. Its tank is equipped with internal mixer that eliminates the empty spaces, keeping the supply of rows constant.

CONTROL SYSTEMThe Stara Control System is series and consists of a set of electro-hydraulic valves

and sensors controlled by Topper 5500, eliminating the need for chains and gear box.Dosing information is sent to an electric center (Universal POD), which allows the

application rate to be adjusted using the sensors and proportion valves, resulting in changes to the seed/fertilizer application mode.

in Shape Files that are imported on a flash drive. During planting, dosing is altered automatically in just a few seconds, according to map recommendations.

Benefits:With the Control System it is possible to regulate the planter with

agility and expressive accuracy. Once adjusted, no new operation is necessary, should the operator wish to change the seed rate or the dose of fertilizers. Control also permits the insertion of prescription maps when planting at variable rate, both for seeds and fertilizers, allowing for corrections in soil fertility and population control according to zones with production potential on the plantation.

The Estrela is equipped with DPS (Stara Precision Seed Distribution), a pneumatic system that ensures more accurate and effective planting.

The DPS is equipped with an innovative sensor that identifies the flow of seeds, ensuring precise reading, as it identifies the mass of seeds to be planted. The sensor is immune to residues and positioned at the end of theseed line, identifying possible failures at the exact time the seed meets the ground. The sensor is connected toTopper 5500, which offers a real-time view of seed flow per row and per meter, as well as occasional blockages.

Equipped with a five-shaft organizer that separates the seed and eliminates the possibility of double seed planting. The organizer does not require adjustments or settings, regardless of the seed size.

DPS features a vacuum chamber that is smaller than conventional models, along with a highly effective seal. This ensures full use of the vacuum when sucking the seeds.This efficiency allows the seed to stick more firmly to the seed distribution disc, preventing failures through vibration, thereby ensuring greater accuracy and speed in planting. The Estrela transport mode is another major differential offered. The Estrela was specially designed to move agilely and rapidly, as it features an exclusive wheelset for transportation and features 3 sections that quickly open and close, making the Estrela compact and easy to move from one area to another or pass along narrow roads and bridges.The measures for the closed Estrela ready for transport are of 12.30 meters in length for the 22, 26 and 28 row models and 14.10 meters in length for the 30 and 32 row model and only 6 meters wide*.

*The transportation length of 6 meters is with the lateral module rows up and locked with the lock pin in the pantographs.

TRANSPORT

The Estrela is an articulated planter, with tank for fertilizers and seeds, an exclusive wheelset for transport and another exclusively for planting, located between the fertilizer/seed rows, providing better uniformity in seed and fertilizer application depth. Topper 5500A complete controller for precision agriculture. It allows to work at variable rate, that is, it is designed for precision agriculture, able to vary the population of plants per meter. Using DGPS and autopilot in a single piece of equipment, planting with economy and yield is guaranteed.The planting monitor Stara can be integrated with the console of the Topper 5500. It is used for counting and sampling of population applied of seeds per hectare and density of seeds per meter.

Stara offers Topper Maps software at no cost to farmers. It allows work traceability to be viewed, stating the hectares planted, work speed, dose of seeds/fertilizers, altitude map and also allows for the interpolation of data.

Stara Row By Row Shutoff System automatically shuts off planting rows exactly when the monitor detects an area where planting was previously performed.Hence, the overlap of rows does not happen, mainly in finish and border areas, providing significant economy of 5,03% in seeds*, eliminating plants competition and improving productivity in these areas. With soy the medium productive increment in the overlap area is of 9,2% and in corn 11,1%**.
