Message to the Graduating Class of 2020
Dear Grade 12 BCIS Students
You are about to embark on such an exciting time of your lives and I wish you all the best from the
bottom of my heart. You are all BCIS Warriors and I know you will go out into the world carrying
the BCIS mission with you. Meet your next adventure with all you have learned so far from life and
be happy and healthy.
Warmest regards,
Julie Lawton,
Head of School
In many ways, life is defined by our experiences and the stories we are able to tell as a result.
Graduating from BCIS in 2020, in the midst of a pandemic that prompted a global response, will
certainly provide you with a unique experience that will form part of your narrative. Remember this
time, always look for the silver lining, and use your experiences to add to the story of who you are.
Mark Sullivan
You have learned so much in and out of school that will make you stronger for the future. Good luck
with your next move and remember you will always have a home at BCIS!
Donald Caldwell
It’s been an honor to have the opportunity to work with all you. I wish you all the best as you con-
tinue onto the next phase of your educational career. Keep in touch and know that BCIS will also
be home for you. Lastly, go and live your dreams, become the leaders of your generation and leave
a lasting positive impact for all.
David Nguyen
I can’t believe this time has come! Since grade 6, we have watched you grow into amazing young
adults where you have made valuable contributions to our community. You are the first cohort to
take the leap and see a group of students complete the IDEATE Diploma program, and all of you
have followed your path to your next adventure. I am very proud of your achievements at BCIS.
You are ready to take over the world! So go and do it…
Megan Eddington
Congratulations, class of 2020, together we have forged a new method of learning at BCIS. You
have shown yourselves to be diligent, determined, and optimistic students. You are innovative, cre-
ative and never give up! Thank you for all of your thoughtful observations and contributions to the
school community. I have enjoyed all the conversations we’ve had together over the years. Please
keep in touch and continue to be curious, open, and share your talents with the world. What an
unforgettable graduation date: 6/6/2020!!
Annie Edwards
Grade 12s- you are my last bunch to graduate before I also graduate from BCIS, and I’m happy
that I get to leave with such a ‘cracking’ group of students (slang term- look it up). You’ve inspired
me through your studies and your projects outside of class and I hope you keep that passion
for learning alive as you get older (remember- being able to learn is a privilege!). Thanks for the
laughs, I’ll miss you and your quirky personalities. Miss P xx
Emma Parker
Congratulations Graduates on this momentous day. You’ve worked hard to achieve your goals and
now you’re on your way to seek new vistas, dream new dreams, embark on who you are, embrace
life with passion and keep reaching for your star. Go for it!
Patrick Kitsao
“You have to be odd to be number one” -Dr Seuss. Stay weird Class of 2020 and create your own
paths.
Eleanor Flesher
Class of 2020 prepare to embark on your next adventure. Go well. I hope I have played my part
and given each of you the confidence to believe in your abilities and tools you can rely on when
the going might look tough. Un paso a la vez es el comienzo de su viaje (one step is the start of
each journey). A life well lived is full of challenges, they are what make life’s journey an adventure
worth having. Just take it one step at a time, and you’ll be amazed at what you can achieve. Love
you lots and will miss you, Mrs. Alexandra McQueen from Santiago, Chile.

Steven Selkirk
You guys rock! Keep on moving forward--- never surrender. Take breaks if you need them, and
always set time aside for yourselves. Stay positive and good luck!
