What is a power chord?

A Power Chord is a simple, stripped down chord,

containing only a Root Note, and the 5th note of

it's scale.

Often seen in Rock Music, they sound great with

overdrive, and are an easy shape to move around

the fretboard.

Introduction to Power Chords: Part 1

Tom Howard

Riff 1: Root + 5th (add pinky finger)
