Bob is the founder of Beer & Bike Tours. Bob began exploring on his bicycle when the training wheels came off. At the age of 15, Bob and a group of friends embarked on a 400 mile adventure around Wisconsin. It was during this Adventure that Bob fell in love with bicycle touring. Many years and adventures later Bob founded Beer & Bike Tours. With extensive touring and travel ex-perience Bob still loves a new adventure and is excited to share them with you. As are our other guides Bob is trained in first aid and an experienced mechanic just in case there is a bump in the road along the way.

Katy has the travel bug worse than anyone you have ever met, and that is a good thing. Always a runner Katy took to bicycle touring while living in Berlin, Germany. Her first bicycle adventure is now one of Beer & Bike Tours featured rides in Germany, The Spree Radweg. Never to take the easy route Katy began touring pulling Katy and Bob’s daughter Suzy in a trailer. 7 years later Katy has completed many cycling adventures and continues to expand her travel horizons. Along with guiding Katy helps to design and promote many of Beer & Bike’s Adventures.

At Beer & Bike we are small by choice. We intentionally keep our groups under ten guests, unless arranged in a custom tour.

Our guides have either lived or traveled extensively in the areas in which they guide. This allows us to share the local flavor and culture of each location.

Ride at your own pace. We want you to enjoy your holiday at your speed not ours. We will not rush you along the way.

On a Beer & Bike Adventure you will stay at a mix of specialty lodging, bed & breakfast, and local hotels. We work hard to find locally owned and operated lodging to give you a real feel for an area. Your luggage will be transferred for you each day of the tour in our support vehicles.

Meals provided on your adventure will feature local cuisine and regional specialties.

Our guides ride along with you and are there to encourage and help along the way. You will be given turn by turn directions or GPS information to help you stay on track. The Beer & Bike support van is always close in case the weather takes a turn for the worst or if you would simply like a break for a little bit.

There is always a cold “recovery” beverage ready for you at the end of each day’s riding!
