Have You Been “Born Again”?

(1)Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him.

1 John 5:1

Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and (2) everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him.

If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.

1 John 2:29

Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world--our faith.

Those who are born again have overcome the world by

No longer being dominated by the unbelieving people about them (2 Cor. 6:17-18)No longer conforming to the standards of the world (Rom. 12:2)No longer living to please men (Gal. 1:10)Caring, “Not what will others say, but what will God say?”Realizing that this world is not their home (1 Jno 2:15-17)

We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.

1 John 5:18

Why?

n Power: “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4)

n Resistance: “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. (James 4:7-8)

What’s the Picture?

n Those who are “born again” believe, love and live the life.

n As the result victory and security is theirs.

n Victory that provides peace, hope, purpose and finally eternal life!
