[First steps 5] After linking the PC and the CFMC-1 you can verify the connection with the command. “hallo". The answer from the CFMC-1 should look like this: [1] “HALLO BACK". The “hallo" command is checking the following parameters:

- Is the CFMC-1 switched on - Were the settings of the terminal program correct. - What is the Device number of the connected CFMC-1 . The

factory set device number is 1. A CFMC-1 carrying the Device number 3 in a cascaded system for example would answer to the "hallo" command “[3] HALLO BACK".

Input and answer the "hallo" command

Now it is possible to perform al further settings by hand. The most important commands are listed in Chapter 6 "basic-commands". You can get a list of the most important commands by typing "help".

[Remote control 7] The CFMC-1 remote control offers several options. You can choose to control the CFMC-1 via radio remote, input-contacts, use the free KOMTECH Software „WinPadPro“ or generate a surface with another system, for example Powerpoint or a html surface. Following example shows a solution for controlling the CFMC-1 with a html page. The selection was tested with common web browsers. Important for the control through a html surface a successful TCP/IP connection with the CFMC-1. Command Description 192.168.1.1/admin? An Admin page is requested, that shows the most common

properties of the CFMC-1. The IP address is tje one of the requested CFMC-1. "system Infos" shows the IP properties, the firmware version and the MAC-address of the system. "Hourmeters and Systemtimer", port specific run-time-counters can be seen and reset.

192.168.1.1/usercom? to[1:16]1~ With “usercom” you can pass commands directly to the CFMC-1. The command must end with a tilde sign (~), otherwise it cannot be processed by the CFMC-1.

Examples of control surfaces of different systems can be viewed in the download area on www.cf-media.info.
