BAYLOR MOVES TO NO. 23 IN LATEST AVCA COACHES POLL• After a 1-1 weekend in conference play, the Bears moved to No. 23 in the latest AVCA Coaches Poll.• The Bears are ranked for the 33rd time in program history and have been listed in the poll for 12 straight weeks dating back to the 2017 season.• On Aug. 27, the Bears received a program-best No. 12 ranking. The No. 12 ranking shattered the previous the all-time program record set in 2009 at No. 17.• During that season, BU was ranked for 10 straight weeks and peaked at No. 17, which stood as the program-high ranking for eight years in the 36-year history of the AVCA poll.• Baylor is 1-3 against ranked squads this season which includes a 3-1 win over then-No. 2 Wisconsin on Sept. 7 in Waco. PRESSLEY LEADS LEAGUE ON THE OUTSIDE• Sophomore Yossiana Pressley has made a big jump for the Bears this season, averaging a league-leading 5.13 kills per set and 5.57 points per set as an outside hitter.• In 2018, Pressley has posted eight 20-plus kill matches and two 30-plus kill matches.
