2014 promises to be a fantastic year for Cure Leukaemia and we have more exciting events than ever before to bring you throughout the year. We value each and every one of our wonderful supporters so we are keen to make sure there are events out there for everyone in 2014 and we continue to keep the fun in fundraising!
Great Birmingham Run 2014
On Sunday 19th October we are planning something very special, our aim is to increase our participation to 1000 runners and aim to raise £250,000...a truly amazing amount of money which would be worth £2.5million in potentially life-saving therapies.
Annual Dinner
Michelin starred chef and Cure Leukaemia Trustee Glynn Purnell served up a culinary delight at last year’s dinner to over 400 guests at Villa Park. This year’s annual dinner is shaping up to be bigger and better with another master class from Glynn Purnell and friends.

Club Legends Cup

You and your family have the chance to be a part of the inaugural Club Legends Cup
indoor football tournament at the LG Arena on Saturday July 12th. This unique event, in support
of Cure Leukaemia, will feature Midlands footballing heroes of yesteryear teaming up with the fans for an unforgettable showpiece at a prestigious venue. The day will also include a Little Legends Cup featuring school children from the West Midlands and a Ladies Legends match showcasing the best female footballing talent in the region. There will also be
a host of family activities and entertainment around the arena making it a great day
out for the whole family so book your tickets today and don’t miss

Over the past decade, Cure Leukaemia has helped fund a network of specialist research nurses who work across the West Midlands to administer pioneering drug treatments to leukaemia patients.
With a population of 5.5million, and the most ethnically diverse catchment area in Europe, the West Midlands offers access to the broadest possible data pool for drugs trials.
A Cure Leukaemia nurse costs £40,000 per year to fund and if you live in the West Midlands who better to fundraise for than your lifesaving local nurse?

Organise a cake bake, set yourself a swimming challenge, hold a quiz night or row the Atlantic Ocean, the choice is yours! Whatever you decide to do the Cure Leukaemia team are here to support you. Why not get your family, friends, school, college, workplace and local community involved and introduce more people into the Cure Leukaemia family?
Be an Award Winner
By holding your own event you could become an award winner! Cure Leukaemia recognise our wonderful fundraisers with special awards at our Annual Dinner and you could follow in the footsteps of our 2013 winners. • Pete Gough won the wackiest fundraiser award for running from Glasgow to Birmingham. • Matilda Elwell won Community Fundraiser of the year after raising over £20,000 for her Lords to Edgbaston walk.
• Nigel Southern took home the Chairman’s award for cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats and

The TCS New York Marathon
Do you want to test yourself to the limit at one of the biggest mass participation events in the world on the streets of an iconic city that never sleeps? Well, this is your opportunity!
In 2014, Cure Leukaemia are offering the keenest runners amongst our supporters, a truly once in a lifetime opportunity, to take part in this year’s TCS New York Marathon on Sunday November 2nd! We have 20 places available for the largest of all the World Marathon Majors so don’t miss out on a truly unforgettable experience!
Starting under the shadow of the Statue of Liberty, you and 50,000 fellow competitors will run through the streets of Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx and under the skyscrapers of Manhattan, before finishing in the serene and beautiful surroundings of Central Park. Imagine the crowds, the colours, the noise and the sense of achievement at the end, followed by the opportunity to explore the Big Apple in less strenuous conditions!
