Protect Your Home• Remove dead limbs, leaves and other litter• Reduce density of forest, grass and needles• Stack firewood and other flammable material
at least 30 feet away from your home• Use non-combustible roofing material• Properly dispose of ashes and BBQ briquettes• Maintain easy access for emergency vehicles
Evacuation Plan• Follow local media for fire reports and evacuation
notices for your area• Take a disaster supply kit and extra clothes• Have a meeting place, and up-to-date contact info
for family members• Post your name and address on your home, clearly
visible from the street • Hang this EVACUATION sign (reverse side) on your
door so rescuers know your home is empty
UniSource will:• Shut off your area’s natural gas system if necessary• Coordinate safety and restoration efforts with officials• Keep natural gas facilities safe and secure
