Teentober Celebration!

The month of October is dedicated nationwide in libraries to teens! This year’s theme as voted by

local teens is based off of Tim Burton’s films: The Strange & Unusual. Join us for extra activities and

all the teen appreciation!

Sunday Funday Gameday Take a minute to relax and breathe before your busy Monday at school. We will have out vari-

ous gaming consoles for you to use and different games for you and your friends to play.

Music Production Work with our Music Producer Bradford

Smith and learn how to make music! Us-ing various software, we will show you how to create your own songs. Need to level up

your musician skills? Just ask Bradford!

Mindful Mondays Sometimes we need to take a break from the hus-tle and bustle. Stop by for some relaxing activities

to take your mind of the daily grind.

Green Screen: Tim Burton Edition Using cameras and the green screen, you can put yourself in your favorite Tim Burton

movie!

Beats Unlocked! Join us for this multi-series class that combines

beat making and coding. Teens that participate for the series are eligible for a prize at the end!

Open Studio Painting Hours Do you like to paint? Interested in trying it? We

will be hosting open studio hours featuring acryl-ic paint. All materials are included.

Team Project: Beetlejuice Sign On Thursdays from 3-5pm you will be able to work the Best Buy Teen Tech Center Staff in creating a Beetlejuice sign for the library. To-

gether we will make this fun decoration to hang in the Teen Lounge all October.

Off the Page: Vincent Price Edition We talk comics, manga, books, fandoms. Each

session is a little bit different and features a differ-ent activity. Stop by and geek out with us!

Tim Burton Trivia Night! Do you love Tim Burton movies like Nightmare

Before Christmas or Corpse Bride? Put that knowledge to the test! This trivia contest is indi-vidual so bring your A-game. Seating is limited and there will be prizes for the top 3 winners.

Dungeons and Dragons: OneShot The best way to introduce new players to Dungeons

and Dragons (D&D) is through one-shots. A one-shot is a single, short, and self-contained session with the

same rules as normal D&D. Teens will have the oppor-tunity to practice playing this classic tabletop RPG in

this session. All materials are included and characters created ahead of time. Reservations required and

seating is limited. Ages 12-17 only.

Scratch Saturdays Every Saturday we will host a different coding

challenge using Scratch.

GSA: Gay-Straight Alliance Join fellow LGBTQIA+ teens and allies in this

monthly meet up as we talk about better ways to support each other in a safe environment while

having fun.

Photoshop for Beginners We will be hosting a class for teens to

learn more about Photoshop. This quick class is great and helpful for those looking

to hone their skills.

Name that Tune: Danny Elfman Edition How well do you know your movie music? In

this face paced game see if you’ve got what it takes to Name that Tune first!

Nevada Career Explorer: Scary Jobs Are you interested in having an unusual or

adrenaline filled job? Stop by this workshop and see if these careers might be right for you!

One Night Werewolf One Night Werewolf is a fast paced tabletop game for 3

-10 players where everyone gets a role with a special ability. Join us in this cooperative monster themed

game! Rounds go fast, so there's room for everyone to take a turn playing.
