The Blessing of Life Together

How does being part of the St. Andrew’s community bless your life?

Every Sunday, your support of this parish enables us to make a sacred connection between God and the people who walk through our doors to look for hope, for fellowship, for inspiration and for a deeper purpose for their lives.

Through gifts of music, a worship life for all ages, warm welcomes and a gracious common spirit, St. Andrew’s blesses rich and poor, young and old, living out the gospel that there is space at God’s table for everyone.

The Blessing of New Life

Every week, people receive the blessing at St. Andrew’s of a new beginning. Our ministries to the hungry and homeless offer nourishment and dignity to those in whom we see and serve Christ. The hospitality we offer to those in recovery presents the gift of a precious second chance at a healthier life. From baptisms to a preschooler’s first steps into the world of faith; from the childhood wonders of Godly Play to the seasoned friendship amongst Saints Alive, St. Andrew’s is a community that invites us to ‘come as we are’ and then go out transformed to be a blessing for God’s world.

Making the most of our Blessings

Because of your generosity, this year we have been able to grow deeper and stronger as a community of faith. In the past year, we celebrated:

•Nurturing over 40 children and youth in 4 distinct spiritual formation programs.

•A growing congregation larger today than at any time in the past 15 years.

•Consistently excellent music-making with a blended music team of paid and volunteer musicians.

•A vibrant worship life for all ages, exploring innovative styles and getting us out into the community to share the good news of God’s love with our neighbors.

• Improvements to our building and grounds including re-painting the entire campus.

•1000’s of meals served and a new breakfast drop-in for the hungry and homeless.

•A preschool with more children enrolled than at any time in its nearly 50 year history.

•A community of Christians who are inspired to lead lives in the world that make a difference to those in need.

Our Vision for the Year Ahead

Our vision for St. Andrew’s is to be a community that inspires and equips people to live out lives of discipleship in the world. To that end, we are committed to:

‣ Practicing friendship that invites others to be part of our community

How You Can Be a Blessing

•Make a commitment this year to offer your self to the service of others out in your community, workplace, or other places of significance in your life.

•Make a commitment to offer to St. Andrew’s the gifts and time you have as a person so that others may be blessed through our common life.

•Make a commitment to support St. Andrew’s financially, helping us to plan a budget for 2016 that will enable us to make a difference to the world around us.

In all of this, pray that through our life and witness together we will be able to play our part in bringing God’s kingdom of justice and peace to our world. You can make a difference and together we can be a blessing in so many rich and varied ways.
