TRADE MISSION: BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES IN THE PHILIPPINES

The British Chamber of Commerce Philippines (BCCP) is organising a Trade Mission for British Companies on 18 – 20 October 2016. The Mission aims to help British companies explore the business opportunities and potentials for doing business in the Philippines. Mission delegates will meet key players from the government and private sectors as well as potential local partners and relevant contacts that could aid their successful market entry.

The Trade Mission is open to UK companies/ exporters especially the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and individual British entrepreneurs who are either in the UK or are already in the Philippines.

WHY DO BUSINESS IN THE PHILIPPINES?

The Philippines is one of the fastest growing economies in the world with a GDP growth of 7.0% (Q2/2016), which is projected to increase to 8.8% by 2018. It is the second largest market in ASEAN with 103 million people. Big opportunities lie in the infrastructure, construction, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Food and Beverage, pharmaceutical energy and agri-business sectors.

PARTICIPATION FEE Delegates will be charged a participation fee of £500 only. Those who register on or before September 10th will be able to avail of the discounted rate, which is £300. This rate is exclusive of accommodation and airfare. The fee will cover attendance to all Trade Mission activities as well as Car/ Van service throughout the Mission.

TRAVEL

Participants are advised to book their own flights. Etihad Airways flies from London Heathrow to Manila via Abu Dhabi. The Philippine Airlines flies direct from London Heathrow to Manila. Other airlines that operate regular flights to Manila include KLM (via Amsterdam), Cathay Pacific (via Hong Kong) and Qatar Airways (via Doha) . Philippine Airlines (PAL) is offering discounted LHR-MNL return trip tickets. Fare includes fuel surcharge but excludes other taxes & fees: • Minimum Economy Class Fare: £635 • Minimum Business Class Fare: £1823

HOTEL

Delegates flying from the UK/ ASEAN region should confirm to BCCP the covered dates of their hotel stay and BCCP will arrange the bookings at a designated hotel. Delegates are advised to directly pay the hotel fees upon checking in or in advance through their credit cards.
