Lord Skidelsky and Richard Cairns, respectively the Chairman of Governors and Head Master of Brighton College UK, will be present. They will also be joined by Ken Grocott, Head Master of Brighton College Abu Dhabi, and Ian McIntyre, the Director of Education of Brighton College International Schools. A warm welcome to Brighton College Al Ain, an iconic new British curriculum school following in the footsteps of Brighton College Abu Dhabi and Brighton College, England’s Independent School of the Year 2011-12. The Brighton College family of schools stand for academic excellence where every pupil is valued and every success shared and celebrated. Brighton College will be bringing to Al Ain the values of a British-style independent education: our aim will be to turn out young men and women who are intellectually curious, confident and able to respond to the rapidly changing world in which they will pursue further study and work. From the very youngest child to those about to leave to study at university, every pupil will be provided with an academically demanding and enjoyable Brighton College education developing the whole person through academic work, pastoral care, sport, performing arts and enrichment activities. Team and group success will be celebrated at every opportunity, and individual pupils praised for their own achievements and efforts. Brighton pupils will not shy from adversity but will, instead, seek challenges in all that they do. My wife, Natasha, and I will shortly be moving from Abu Dhabi to Al Ain with our young family and look forward to meeting with parents who are determined to offer their children a first-class British-style independent education. This exciting venture, the first of its kind to be undertaken in Al Ain, will further enhance the growing international reputation of Brighton College. I have no doubt that Alun Yorath will be an outstanding Head Master and hope that many of you are able to join us at the launch event in early December, which will be a fantastic opportunity to learn more about our exciting vision for Brighton College Al Ain. COLLEGE BUILDING UNDER WAY!

We are delighted to announce that the building work has commenced on the College’s 12-hectare campus in Al Ain. All the College facilities, including the theatre, swimming pool and sports hall, are on target to be open and fully functional when the College opens in September 2013. Brighton College Al Ain is located in the southern district of the city of Al Ain. An extensive bus service will operate to transport pupils to and from the College from across the city.

STAFF VACANCIES

We have a number of vacancies for qualified teachers (EYFS-Year 9 in all subjects) who have British curriculum experience. All teaching vacancies will be advertised in the TES and on our website. Please contact Ned Murray on [email protected] for further information.
