INTRODUCTION• "As a Man Thinketh" is a literary essay by JAMES ALLEN, published in 1902.
• The title is influenced by a verse in the BIBLE from the BOOK OF PROVERB, chapter 23, verse 7: “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.
AUTHOR
JAMES ALLEN was a British philosophical writer known for his inspirational books and poetry and as a pioneer of the self-help movement. His best known work, “As a man Thinketh”, has been mass-produced since its publication in 1902. It has been a source ofinspiration to motivational and self-help authors.

This book is based on bible proverbs and is divided into chapters as follows:-
• CHAPTER 1:-Thought and CharacterAllan writes “A man is literally what he thinks, his character
being the complete sum of all of his thoughts”.
• CHAPTER 2:-Effect of Thought on CircumstancesAllan writes that "The outer conditions of a person's
life will always be found to be harmoniously related to his inner state.

MY OPINION ABOUT THE BOOK
• According to me this book has all the important morals which an individual if performs it in his day to day life he will be satisfied with his life.
• It tells you power of positive thinking and attitude.• Some of my favorite quotes:Thought and character are one. The dreamers are the saviors of the world.
• Basic idea of the book is Good thoughts will bring you good things in life, bad thoughts will bring you bad things
