ROAD SAFETY: STAY SAFE, BE GRACIOUSWe would like to remind BBTCians to observe road safety and graciousness both as drivers or pedestrians, to maintain a good witness as Christians within the community. Please avoid jaywalking or making illegal U-turns. Also, try not to alight along the main road.

PARKING IN CHURCHWe also seek your understanding in not parking in the church compound during the Saturday and Sunday services. Parking lots in BBTC should be reserved for visitors only. We politely request that those ferrying young children or the elderly drop their passengers off in church first before parking outside the church compound.

A handful of lots in the BBTC car park involve double-parking, where a parked car may block the car behind it. For those who park in these lots, please observe the following rules:

1 Write your name, handphone number and location within church on the form provided. Leave this on your windscreen so the driver of the blocked car can contact you. Check your phone regularly to ensure you are not preventing someone from moving his or her car.

2 If you intend to stay in church for an extended period, please avoid these lots altogether.

BLESSING CAMPAIGN 2017We thank BBTCians for the enthusiastic response during the past 4 weeks of the Blessing Campaign. We praise the Lord for enabling us to exceed the target of 30,000 acts of blessings. But more than this, we rejoice at the divine encounters for further ministry, the salvations and the wonderful stories by BBTCians who have been blessed in return as they seek to be a blessing to others. Here are some of the stories.

TESTIMONY 1 - DOULOS 5 CG

Together as a cell, Doulos 5 blessed 30 Indian workers with nasi bryani, mineral water, bread and apples. We also invited them to the upcoming Telugu blessing fellowship on Feb 19. When buying the 30 packets of nasi briyani from Changi Village hawker centre, the stall owner blessed us with additional 3 big packets of rice free. And while waiting for the workers to knock off from work, we were blessed with free cheng tng from the Bedok corner hawker centre.

As we bless we are blessed!

TESTIMONY 2 - LIVING WORD CLUSTER

As we went from house to house during last Sunday’s blessing event at Blk 12 & 13 in Bedok South, I realised that our 2-plus hours of knocking on doors to bless the residents actually meant so much to them. We were greeted with smiles, openness and warm reception from the residents which I first did not expect! It was especially heartwarming to see the lone elderlies’ faces light up upon seeing us at their doors. I felt good that our simple gesture of giving oranges and ang pow made a difference to them.

Our children from the cell have also participated enthusiastically in this Blessing Campaign. I am thankful also that it provided them the opportunity to experience first-hand the act of knocking on doors to intentionally bless the needy families. Another group gave a few more ang pow to a family with 5 young children, whose house was poorly furnished. I think this is compassion in action.

A few of us were invited into the house by a couple where the husband has stroke on his right side of body, and who also has difficulty hearing. I prayed over Uncle’s condition. Although he might not hear the prayers, I know our merciful and compassionate God will accord Uncle the healing according to His will. Uncle’s wife was so generous to bless us with 2 jars of home-made cookies! We were blessed in return as we bless others!

For those who have been blessed and would like to continue blessing and befriending the residents in the community, email [email protected].
