After working with the brand for over two years on marketing and business consulting, Meghan has officially joined as co-owner! My dream of owning my own nature inspired business finally come true with Black Birch in 2010. With my background in visual merchandising plus my Master Natu-ralist of Missouri schooling, Black Birch is a great way for me to express my own personal style and creativity. Our line-up is about bringing a fresh new look to eco-friendly products inspired by nature and handcrafted for quality. When I am not making or dreaming up new products, you can find me on a river or in the woods. I enjoy kayaking, hiking, biking and camping. Although, if it is a rainy day, then you will definitely find me boutique shopping. Remember to recycle and to work on your own ways improve sustainability in our environment.

I’m so excited to be officially part of the Black Birch team this year! Black Birch truly stands for quality that is easy to stand behind making this partnership a no-brainer. I really enjoyed hearing from our customers regarding the new products we’ve launched at the Spring Thaw event in April. Jayme and I can’t wait to show you what is coming up this summer! If I’m not busy working on our new website (yep, coming summer 2012), designing labels, or promoting Black Birch you can find me working on my 105 year old home and getting ready for my husband and I’s first child this July.

Why Black Birch?At Black Birch we only produce products with ingredients from the top vendors in the country, ensuring strict quality control and organic handling procedures. Most botanical items we receive are no more than a few months old from their harvest date. The products we offer you are guaranteed fresh and fragrant. We are always proud to tell our customers that all of our products are made with essentials oils that are certified organic and are free from pesticide/chemical residues. Each one is supervised and tested by a certified aromatherapist.

Why use all-natural skin products?A natural product is described as one that contains mostly or completely naturally derived ingredients. Being that the human skin constitutes a living, dynamic tissue system that has the remarkable ability to absorb applied products, partially or com-pletely, into the bloodstream, we feel switching to all-natural skin products can help you to avoid feeding your skin harmful chemicals.

Are your items hand made?Yep, all of our bath and body items are handcrafted and manufactured in St. Charles, MO. Everything is made in small batches so you never need to worry about how long your product has been sitting on a stock shelve.

How long do your products last? Because of the nature of our products - all-natural, no preservatives - we guaran-tee items to stay fresh for at least 6 months, although most items will last for a year. A good test on how fresh your item is will be the scent. We use pure essential oils that by their nature will begin to lose some of their properties as time passes.

Body Scrubs

Why Black Birch Body Scrub? Our natural scrubs help you pamper, polish and nourish your skin. As dead skin cells move to the surface, exfoliation helps remove them so the new skin cells beneath are what you see.

How often?Most customers use our scrubs a couple of times a week.

Best way to apply?Before turning the shower water on, apply your Black Birch scrub using circular motions. Rinse off. This will allow for the most concentrated amount of oils to penetrate your skin, while also removing the dead skin cells. But you can always feel free to also apply while skin is already wet.

What if I have a skin condition? People with psoriasis or eczema might find relief using our products. As with any new skin care product discontinue usage if irritation happens.
