The same platform powers a continuous monitoring algorithm, watching all project sites for deviations in system performance thus enabling smart dispatch of O&M resources, resulting in minimized downtime and maximized returns.

The Internal Site Controller manages the major BESS functions, interfacing with the battery management system, power conversion system devices, BESS thermal, and safety systems, ensuring efficient, safe and reliable energy operations.

Layered over the internal controls are optional Energy Management Controls. These controls encompass the full range of energy storage applications including management of multiple generation and load assets for microgrids. This provides adaptive and predictive controls for dispatching energy storage to reduce demand charges, and maximizing revenue generation in all applications.

PROBLEMEthically farming eggs for an entire country is not an easy task - just ask Burn-brae Farms in Woodstock, Ontario. Reliable electricity is imperitive to keep chick-ens safe in automated free range coups. Burnbrae needed reliable electricity, and wanted that electricty to be from renewables whenever possible.

SOLUTIONTo handle a complex microgrid, you need complex systems and control. Our solution: a BESS forming a 3 phase, resilient, standalone grid that utilized a microgrid control-ler managing a 500 kW solar PV array, backup generator, and a bidirectional second-ary grid intertie to supply the existing single phase grid.

PROBLEMSometimes you need to fit a lot of capabilites in a very small space. When this developer asked for 1.2 MWh of storage to be condensed into a 20ft shipping container - while still maximizing solar PV production from a 2x oversized solar PV arrays - Tundra Canadian Energy rose to the challenge.

SOLUTIONThrough careful design - and an inherently innovative mindset - Tundra Canadian Energy was able to provide a fully customized solution to fit their clients needs. We provided a solar + storage solution allowing for substantial solar PV oversizing and smart management of solar PV assets to maximize production and revenue.

PROBLEMThis Northern Alberta municipality was looking for a way to move thier city into the renewable future - enter new EV transit buses. As well as having to install EV charging infrastructure, the city wanted to charge the busses with renewable energy and mitigate peak demand when all 10 EV buses returned to depot.

SOLUTIONTundra Canadian Energy's battery energy storage solution with proprietary control system was a perfect fit for this application. Charging the 670 KWh batteries with the sun's rays during the day and storing that energy for when the buses came back to the depot, effectively using renewable energy and mitigating peak demand charges.

PROBLEMDoing research in the high Arctic is tricky business, just ask the Artic Research Foundation. Their remote research stations needed reliable power that could withstand some of the harshest weather conditions on the planet, and have control sytems that could be monitored from anywhere in the world.

SOLUTIONFor remote locations with no proximity to any sources of continuous grid power, you need to be able to harness energy from wherever you can. Our solution: An off-grid, environmentally hardened BESS that manages power flow between a containerized greenhouse, solar PV, wind turbines, and a diesel generator.
