Book Fair Volunteers Needed . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Dear BPS Families: The Scholastic Book Fair is a celebration of reading that provides families the opportunity to get involved in a universal mission: encouraging kids to read every day so they can lead better lives. Our Scholastic Book Fair connects kids to books they want to read and encourages the love of reading. This year our book fair will be held October 27-November 3. The book fair helps us promote reading while raising money for books and special projects, such as an annual author/illustrator/storyteller visit and STEAM materials for discovery learning, etc. As with any successful program, many volunteers are the key! If you can help, please sign up at: www.SignUpGenius.com/go/30E0D4BA8AC29A7F58-book2 or email Mrs. Rachael Berkemeier at [email protected]. Grandparents are also able to volunteer! Please remember that all volunteers must have a background check on file in the BPS office. That form can be found here: http://batesvilleinschools.com/bps/get-involved/volunteer-participation-request-background-check-form-2/ Sincerely, Rachael Berkemeier Media & Instructional Technology Specialist Batesville Primary School www.SignUpGenius.com/go/30E0D4BA8AC29A7F58-book2

2017 Batesville Primary School Christmas Concert The Batesville Primary School Christmas concert is quickly approaching! Our students have been working hard at learning their songs for this year’s performance. The Christmas concert will be Monday, December 4 at 6:00 p.m. in the Batesville High School gymnasium. The first and second grade will present “Welcome Christmas!” This semester, we have been learning songs from popular Christmas cartoons and movies. And we are very excited to share them with you. All first and second grade students will need to arrive at the high school field house to line up by 5:45 p.m. The entire show will last approximately 30 minutes. Please park behind the high school (handicap parking spaces are available in the front of the high school). Students should dress nicely for the concert. No spaghetti straps or mid-drifts, please. Please note that only first and second graders will be performing at the Christmas concert. This will be their only performance this school year. Kindergarten will present their concert in the spring. Hope to see you there!
