Basra Gateway Terminal (BGT) is a part of the International Container Terminal Services Inc. Group (ICTSI), a key player in the global port industry with more than 25 years experience, operating in 30 ports and terminals across the globe. In April 2014, ICTSI signed a contract for 26 years with General Company for Ports of Iraq (GCPI) to operate, develop, and expand the container handling facilities at the Port of Umm Qasr in Iraq at berth 19, 20, 21 and construct three new berths at berth 25, 26 and 27.
