Use of Plastic Resins

Look back at our history, there has been massive changes in plastic Injection molding Machine and the use of plastic resins to make useful things. These changes have occurred not only with respect to the usefulness of these products in the market as well as the production process of these products in the industry.

This process was started with the humble process of die casting where the melted plastic would be poured into a die. The die would be in the shape of the object that is to be made.

The molten plastic would be poured into the die and allowed to cool under compression. When the plastic cools and becomes hard it would take the shape of the die that would be the required shape of the product.

Step: 01 The injection molding process has enhanced this

further by injecting the molten plastic into the die. This has many advantages. The molten plastic that is injected into the die has higher from value. This process can also be used on those dies on which the molten plastic cannot be directly poured into.

This typically happens if the die is of a size that has a small mouth. The molten plastic is injected at high speed inside the die and it will flow to the entire shape of the cavity evenly. This will ensure that the entire cavity is completely filled with the molten plastic and that will ensure a fully fledged formation of the plastic product that is in shape of the die.

The wastage in this process in very less. All the scarp that is formed out of plastic molding can be melted again and thus recycled. Therefore it would reach to a point of zero wastage as long as the production is running which would lead to reduction in costs.

Step: 02

The injection molding process is simple to catch up two. It consists of two main parts which are the injection unit that will inject the molten plastic and the clamping unit that will form the die. The mould is first made by melting the plastic that is to be used.

It is then clamped under pressure by the clamping unit. The injection unit will then inject this compressed fluid into the die. This process is done by feeding the resins into the injection unit which will be clamped to the die. Once the injector is clamped into the die, it can directly inject the clamp into the die where it would be molded.

Step: 03

The mould is then cooled till it becomes hard. This is also known as the dwelling phase. During this phase the plastic mould will fill up the entire cavity inside the plastic and by the use of hydraulics and pressure, the molten plastic would be brought into shape. The plastic will then be allowed to cool down and harden.

This process accelerates the production process in plastic products. A large variety of products can be made this way and the process of production can be stepped up using this process.
