Electricity
What is electricity?
• Electricity is a powerful force of nature.
• Electricity is everywhere in the universe.
Sources of Energy:
• Hydrogen- is the simplest element known to man.
• Oil (Petroleum)- was formed from the remains of animals and plants that lived millions of years ago in a marine (water).
• Coal- is a nonrenewable energy source because it takes millions of years to create. The energy in coal comes from the energy stored by plants that lived hundreds of millions of years ago, when the earth was partly covered with swampy forests.
• Natural gas, where does it come from?
Answer: Millions of years ago, the remains of plants and animals decayed and built up in thick layers.
