Foundation Armor concrete sealers stop water migration and hydrostatic pressure up to 100 PSI and vapor migration up to 0.015WVT. They are guaranteed to waterproof, strengthen, and protect concrete for a lifetime:

Armor S1000 - 24 Hour Dry Time, 2″ Penetration.Armor S2000 - 24 Hour Dry Time, 4″ Penetration.

All Foundation Armor sealers work below the surface and do not change the color or texture of the surface of the concrete. After a Foundation Armor sealer has been applied, you can paint or stain the surface of the concrete (FA sealers increase the adhesion by up to 20%).

Basement Floor Seepage

Cause: Basement floor seepage occurs when hydrostatic pressure pushes water up from the surrounding soil in through the pores of the concrete floor.

Solution: Seal your basement floor with the Armor S2000 Concrete Sealer. The concrete sealer will penetrate into the concrete to form a crystalline barrier within the pores. Once dry, the Foundation Armor concrete sealer can stop moisture migration up to 100 PSI.

Efflorescence

Cause: Efflorescence is a deposit of soluble salts, usually white in color, which can appear on the surface of masonry or concrete. Hydrostatic pressure pushes water up through the concrete. Mixed with the water or added from the concrete, salts are carried to the surface. The salts harden to form efflorescence.

Solution: Seal your basement floor with the Foundation Armor Concrete Sealer. The concrete sealer will penetrate into the concrete to form a crystalline barrier within the pores. Once dry, water, moisture and vapors can’t be pushed up through the concrete.

Basement Floor Cracks

Cause: Basement floor cracks come from a variety of causes – shifting, movement, settling, water.

Solution: If the floor is in need of structural repair, you want to repair the crack with the Armor FS90 repair kit. If the crack is a hairline crack, or caused from shifting or movement, you can use the Armor JFX35 repair kit. If the crack is wet or leaking you want to use the Armor hydrophobic polyurethane grout injection repair kit.

Basement Coatings

Another option is to seal your floor with a Moisture Mitigating Epoxy designed to significantly reduce the penetration of moisture.

Signs of A Wet Basement

Some homeowners can clearly see they have a wet basement but some owners don’t find out they have a wet basement until they have thousands of dollars worth of damage. Signs of a wet basement:• Wet spots on your basement floor or basement walls.• Damp areas on your carpet or area rug.• Rotting wood or wet basement walls.• Mold and mildew.• Flaking or peeling paint on the floor or walls.• A musty smell or odor.• Condensation on your basement windows.• High basement humidity levels.

Preventative WaterproofingIf your basement does not currently have any water or moisture

issues, the Armor S1000 or Armor S2000 concrete sealers are great for preventative waterproofing. They waterproof through densification so if water or moisture becomes present, the sealers will work to reduce the penetration. Because the sealers fill in the pores with a permanent crystalline barrier, Radon levels will also be reduces as well.

WaterproofingIf you have water or moisture issues or if you are trying to waterproof porous materials such as cinderblock, you want to use the solvent based Armor SX5000 or the water based Armor SX5000 WB water repellent. They fill in the pores completely to repel water and prevent it from penetrating through the substrate.

Decorative SealersThere are several sealers that can be used on basement floors but when choosing a basement floor sealer that will enhance the look of the concrete you have to take into consideration VOCs – the higher the VOC level the stronger the odor.  With some sealers, you may need to open doors and windows and possibly wear protective gear.

Foundation Armor manufactures a few, low to no VOC sealers for interior concrete which include:• Armor AE Fusion Gloss – Epoxy infused acrylic sealer for interior concrete.• Armor Polyaspartic Coating – High gloss durable coating for interior concrete.• Armor AR350 and the Armor AR500 – Satin to High gloss coatings. Designed for exterior

uses they work great for interior as long as there is good air flow during application.
