    Notes:Amherstjunior CF Scott Shaffer (Boulder, Colo.) batted .636 (7-for-11) with a .909 slugging mark and a .69OBP as he recorded three multi-hit games during the Lord Jeffs 2-2 week. Against the Ephs over the weekend, Shaffer wa

    5-for-8 with four runs scored, an RBI and three doubles. Senior RHP Teddy Blank (Waban, Mass.) made two appearance

    last week, each of which helped the Jeffs pick up a wiin. Over 4.1 IP, Blank allowed four hits and one earned run whstriking out three batters...Batesjunior 1B/DH Noah Lynd (Meriden, N.H.) hit a solo home run that kickstarted the Bobcat

    rally from a 2-0 deficit to a 3-2 win against Thomas last week. He batted .333 (5-for-15) with four runs scored, three drive

    in, and two homers in a 2-2 week for Bates. His conference-leading eight homers are just one shy of the programs singlseason mark. Freshman RHP Mike Antonellis (Sudbury, Mass.) tossed 3.1 innings of no-hit ball in two relief appearance

    last week, allowing one walk and striking out three to earn his first two career saves. At 12-7, Bates is off to its best start in least two decades...Colby senior 1B Ryan Conlon hit .500 (10-for-20), had seven RBI and 13 total bases in a 2-3 week f

    the Mules...Hamilton senior 1B Grady Vigneau (Stowe, Vt.) was a tough out to get last week, as he recorded an on-bas

    percentage of .833 by going 8-for-11 at the plate (.727) and earned seven walks. Vigneau ended the week with a four-gamhitting streak for the Continentals. During a three-game series against Wesleyan, Vigneau went 6-for-6 with five walks. H

    made just one error on 42 chances at first base (.976) and raised his batting average from .182 to .302...Middleburyseni

    CF Erich Enns (Lansdale, Pa.) batted .571 (12-for-21) with a .545 on-base percentage and a .857 slugging mark, as he h

    four doubles and a triple. He scored nine runs, drove in five, and stole two bases in the Panthers 1-4 week...Trinity fresman 3B Stephen Rogers (Watertown, Mass.) batted .529 (9-for-17) with four doubles and a home run in a 3-1 week for th

    Bantams. Against Bates over the weekend, Rogers went 6-for-12. He finished the four-game set with seven runs scorefour RBI, and two walks (.579 OBP). Rogers is batting .511 in his rookie season in the league. Sophomore LHP Jame

    Ramsey (Belmont, Mass.) tossed a two-hit shutout in a 6-0 win over Bates last week, recording two strikeouts and allowintwo walks as he held the Bobcats to a .083 average...Tuftsjunior DH Ben Walkeley (Trumbull, Conn.) led the Jumbos

    batting and RBIs and tied for the team lead in runs scored (5) during a 4-0 week. He finished the week batting .444 (4-for-

    with an OBP of .583 and a slugging mark of .778. Walkley had three doubles, three walks, five runs scored, five RBI, anstole one base (1-for-1)...Wesleyanjunior LF Julian Sonnenfeld (Aberdeen, N.J.) broke the Cardinals single-season double

    mark by adding four more during his teams 4-0 week. He has 19 so far this season, two better than the 17 recorded ov

    32 games in 2001. For the week, Sonnenfeld batted .500 (8-for-16) with three walks, seven runs scored, five driven in,home run, and two steals (2-for-2). Sophomore pitcher Mike Barsotti (Philadelphia, Pa.) struck out 12 in the Cardinals 13

    win at Hamilton on Friday, as he retired the first seven batters he faced via strikeout. Hefinished the game allowing five hit

    one earned run and two walks over six innings...Williams junior OF Pat Barren (Worthington, Ore.) batted .474 (9-for-1with five doubles, a home run, seven runs scored, four driven in, and three walks in a 2-2-1 week for the Ephs. Senior RH

    Paul Burgdorf (Latham, N.Y.) hurled six strong innings in a 5-2, seven-inning win over Amherst on Saturday. He allowe

    three hits and two walks while striking out eight batters.

    Ed Bernstein, Tufts(Junior, RHP - Foxborough, Mass.)

    Making three appearances for the Jumbos la

    week, Bernstein earned a win and recorded

    hold with three strikeouts and one hit allowe

    over 2.2 IP as he held opposing batters to

    .111 average. With Tufts trailing Colby 8-

    on Saturday, Bernstein appeared and go

    Brett Gorman, Bowdoin(Junior, 3B - Bedford, N.Y.)

    Gorman batted .588 (10-for-17), had an on-

    of .706 during a 4-1 week for the Polar Bears,

    which included a three-game sweep at Mid-

    dlebury. He had two doubles, five walks, eight

    runs scored, five driven in, and was 2-for-2 in

    stolen bases. Against the Panthers, Gorman

    went 8-for-10 with seven runs scored.
