Technology

Work with a partner and in a group Use a computer to make documents Use the internet to find pictures and websites

Google Translate Camera Application Please do not use this application for reading things in class. When

you use this app, you don’t learn any English because you read everything in your language and forget the English.

When you read something in English, underline words you don’t know, and use a phone dictionary to find the meaning. Then read it again in English. If you still don’t understand, ask the teacher or a classmate. “I don’t understand this. What does it mean?”

How Does the Teacher Know My Progress?Your progress is based on:

1. Homework2. Class Presentations3. Class work4. Participation5. Group and partner work

Participation is a big part of the decision to move from Level 1 to Level 2. Participation means:o Coming to class every week and being ready to learn.o Doing class work and homework everyday.o Listening and speaking to the teacher and your classmates in English.o Coming to class with your books, binder, notebook, pen/pencil, and homework. o Speaking in English in class.

At the end of October, I will tell you the good things you are doing and how you can get better.
