The purpose of the RTC Discount ID Card Program is to ensure that only eligible individuals receive fare discounts as mandated by state and federal laws. An individual’s eligibility is based on their inability to use fixed-route transit (i.e., regular accessible buses, light rail, commuter rail or BART) without special facilities, planning or design.

> Each transit agency reviewed its own

applicants and printed out laminated

cards on demand.

> Program implementation was

inconsistent throughout the region.

> Fraud was prevalent.

> Agencies were losing money

because of fraudulent discounted fares.

A new procurement is underway and AC Transit will become the next Lead Agency (replacing BART). This procurement should take place sometime in Fall 2012.

We are interested in submitting a proposal to continue providing these services. We feel that Cordoba is

extremely qualified to provide these services.

We receive high marks for our contract performance.

We have demonstrated abilities, most especially competence, cooperation, and commitment.
