Forests are some of the most beautiful

places on Earth. I'm in a forest now, on a

warm day in summer. The sun is high in

the sky. There are beautiful, tall trees

with shiny, green leaves. I can smell the

flowers and the grass.

I can hear the birds singing and the

bugs buzzing.

This forest is going to be very

different in a few months. In the fall,

the trees change its colour to orange,

yellow, and red. As the weather gets

cooler, the leaves start falling to the

ground. Most people like forests in the

fall because the leaves are colorful.

But I think the fall is worse than spring

or summer, and winter is better than

spring and summer!

Forests are very pretty in snowy

weather. They turn white and

everything's quiet. Some animals, like

bears and bats, go to sleep, or

hibernate. When spring arrives, the

animals wake up, and trees grow new

leaves again.
