Where In the World Are We Going?Frequently Asked Question!!

Constantly we are asked, Do you know where you are go-

ing yet? And for what seems like a long time, we have

been saying, No, but likely somewhere in Indonesia. Af-

ter a lot of discussion and prayer, two options were pre-

sented to us: Indonesia, probably Papua, or Mada-gascar. This was very exciting for us, yet a bit challengingat the same time! These happened to be our own personaltop two choices. After much prayer and consideration, we

have decided to pursue the Mada-gascar placement. Many morethings have to happen before any-thing is finalized, but at this point,we are definitely reading and fo-cusing our attention on Madagas-car.

    Madagascar is the worlds fourth

biggest island after Greenland,New Guinea and Borneo. Becauseof its isolation most of its mam-mals, half its birds, and most of its

Summer News UpdateAfter a pretty rainy and cold June, we were excited to welcome the heat in July! It has been a busy summerso far. In preparation to move overseas, we are spending every spare moment finishing a large renovationproject on our house so we can sell it! We moved into Robs moms house in the beginning of June be-

cause it had come to that point where living in it was making the work too hard. One word: Drywall. If you have lived in adrywall renovation, you can understand that its nearly impossible to keep things clean! Even after blocking off rooms with

plastic, the drywall dust has managed to float around the entire house leaving a nice white dusting everywhere. Oh and, wedont have doors on any of our cupboards, so not only is it on every surface outside of any cabinets, it is also inside! Besidesdry walling the new 1200 square foot addition to the house, Rob has been siding the house with cedar shakes, re-roofing the

house, rebuilding the staircase inside, painting, and finishing up whatever he can while the weather is good! He has beenable to hire some help along the way, but a lot of it has been done solo. Check out the before and after pictures! Other than

renovations, we were excitedto visit Vancouver Island inJuly to visit my family andalso attend my youngerbrothers high school gradua-

tion. We visited the beach anda lake while we were there too.Faith has no fear when itcomes to cool water! It was a

    most enjoyable weekend.

Ahead of UsSchedules and routines are changing now. Beginning in August, the home renova-tions are taking a side-seat while we become busier and busier with sharing ourministry with MAF with others around us. This will probably involve traveling andgeneral out-of-the-norm routine for us and the children. We are embracing thischange and know that God is using every season as preparation for this transitioninto full time ministry with Mission Aviation Fellowship. We would appreciate yourprayers as our family adjusts and seeks to define our new normal as simply spending

time together, training the children, and watching over one anotherwhereverwe are!
