SPECIAL EDITION 1 st May 2019 BANSALOTSAV 2019 BANSALOTSAV 2019, the Annual Technical Festival of BGI, Bhopal was a perfect launch-pad for technology enthusiasts to showcase their intelligence and inventiveness and a massive platform for various activities, organized in the form of Technical, cultural and sports events. Initiated in 2000, Bansalotsav has provided a podium for engineering innovations and raw ideas to echo, over the last 18 glorious years and has set new benchmarks of quality. More than 1600 students participated in both technical and fun events. Over 200 students from 20 different colleges attended the grand festival. BANSALOTSAV 2K19, a four day program was organized from 26th to 29th March, aimed to provide a platform to the widely enthusiastic prospective engineer to showcase their mind-boggling innovations and to achieve the vision to be at the frontiers of the emerging technovation. The inaugural ceremony commenced with the lighting of lamp by the chief guest and a group of dignitaries. Mr. Sharad Dwivedi, Chief Editor Bansal News was the Chief Guest at the inaugural function. Dr. Sanjay Jain, Joint Secretary BGI gave quick review of events under Tech-fest. While addressing the audience the chief guest encouraged the students to be BANSAL GROUP OF INSTITUTES is one of the most prestigious Institute of M.P. BGI is known for setting a standard of excellence in the field of engineering. Apart from its outstanding academic programme, BGI is also known for its versatility and vibrancy of its extra- curricular scenario. inspired by and to work like the great scientist and ex-President of India Dr. A.P. J. Abdul Kalam. He emphasized on clear vision, focused approach & determination towards achieving one’s goals Closing ceremony was graced by Dr. Mahesh Shukla, Chief General Manager, BSNL M.P. In his speech, he said that variety of thoughts can be learnt from these types of Tech Fests by participating with full enthusiasm. He also said that science and technology has changed and it has become a challenge for providing good quality education by focusing on innovative and cutting edge technology. He said that we Indians are doing remarkable achievements in the field of science and technology and the younger generation has to continue it with more effort and dedication. He advised the students to be well organized and well read to become a thorough professional. He concluded that the engineering students should make sure that they equip themselves to suite the changing world and wished best wishes to all the students and participants. He distributed the certificates and prizes. Overall the college festival “Bansalotasav, 2019” turned out to be the most educative, interesting and entertaining event of the year where the students got the opportunity to showcase their talents and skills and build relationships within the student community. 77+ faculty members of BGI were felicitated for their outstanding performance in their respective subjects.

BANSALOTSAV 2019, the Annual Technical Festival of BGI, Bhopal was a perfect launch-pad for technology enthusiasts to showcase their intelligence and inventiveness and a massive platform for various activities, organized in the form of Technical, cultural and sports events. Bansalotsav 2K19 started with a spectacular series of three days technical events like LAN Gaming, Virtual campus,Quiz, CAD competition,debugging, model completion, Roborace, web designing,Email writing, Tech poster, Tech Rangoli, Best out of waste, Treasure hunt, short film making and circuit designing. It is a event where young brains get to showcase their skills and

compete with others to find the best. It is not just about the competitions but also an event where a lot of those new ideas are seen live and learn more and be inspired. Such inspiring events happen every year in BGI which guides engineers to dream bigger and make those dreams come true.

Model Competition : 1st prize won by Avishesh Shukla, IV Sem., BCP, 2nd Prize won by Raja Sagar, IV Sem.

Web Designing Competition : 1st Prize won by Lokesh Jatav, BIRT, IV-Sem. and Vikas Yadav, BIRT, IV-Sem., 2nd Prize Rohit Dubey, BCE, IV-Sem.

A four day cultural events was organized at BGI with the objective of developing the academic and cultural talents of the students, improving their capabilities to work as a team, raising their level of self-confidence in interacting with fellow students and peers and to provide the broadest scope to organize a myriad of events. Some of them includes - Group/Solo Singing, Dancing, Dramatics, motivational skit, extempore speech, picture story composition etc. The scope for creativity in organizing events is virtually limitless.

Solo Song Competition : 1st Prize won by Mohd. Akram, BIST, IV-Sem., 2nd Prize won by Nidhi Verma, BIST, IV-Sem., 3rd Prize won by Richa Roy, LNCT, VI-Sem.

Group Song Competition : 1st Prize won by Jaya Namdev & Chandan Pichoriya, BIRT, IV-Sem.

Group Dance Competition : 1st Prize won by Yash Keerti and Group, BIST, IV-Sem., 2nd Prize won by Rushali & Rashmi, BIST, VI-Sem.

Sports helps the children in character building, improves mental sharpness and stamina. It also develops a sense of friendliness, team spirit, confidence among children. Therefore a variety of indoor games and outdoor sports events like Gully cricket, Tug of War, Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Athletics, Chess, Carom, Table Tennis etc. were organized by BGI and around 500 students actively participated with full sportsman spirit.

Volleyball Competition : Winner was BIST, Bhopal students and runnerup was BCE, Mandideep students.

Carom Competition : Winner was Nehal Rajak of BCP, VI-Sem. and runner up was Aditya Soni, BIST, VI-Sem.

Gully Cricket Competition : Winner was BIST students and runnerup was BCP students.

Tug of War Competition : (Boys Category) BIRT was the winner team and BIRTS was the runner up (Girls Category) BCP was the winner & BIST was the runner up

Kho-Kho Competition : (Boys Category) BIST was the winner & BIRT was the runner up, (Girls Category) BIST was the winner and BCP was the runner up
