IN JUNE 2019, ACOM IS HOSTINGA TWO WEEK FIELD PLACEMENTEXPERIENCE IN BANDUNG, INDONESIA.

Indonesia has a population of approximately240 million people, 160 million of which areMuslims, making Indonesia the country withthe largest Muslim population in the world.

In Partnership with Envision* Indonesia ACOM invites students, alumni, and friends of ACOM to participate in what God is doing to extend His master plan in Indonesia.

Participants will have opportunity to learn some of the language and culture of the Indonesian people and to work alongside local Pastors and congregations in sharing the Good News. Envision Indonesia have a number of ministry partners within the city of Bandung.

These include a local orphanage and women’s refuge, an English school for local university students, a soccer ministry to the local children as well as a young men prison.

Hosted by Neale and Susan Meredith, participants will engage in a variety of these partner programs, as well as have the opportunity for a home stay with a local Muslim family.

Students wishing to engage in the fieldexperience unit for credit toward anundergraduate or postgraduate degree willenrol in Trimester 2 2019 in M7286/M8586Engaging in Intercultural Ministry. This willinvolve pre-reading prior to the trip as wellas a reflective assessment on return.

$3670* for undergraduate students+ flights and personal expenses

$4170* for postgraduate students+ flights and personal expenses

$1680 Non-study option(not including deposit, flights and expenses) + flights and personal expenses

PARTICIPANT DEPOSIT

$300 payable by the 1st March 2019

Participants will be responsible for booking their own flights to Bali.

FLIGHTS

Flights will cost approx. $700 depending on which city in Australia you depart from and flight costs at the time of booking.Flights from Bali to Bandung return will be covered by the Deposit. Participants will also need to organise their own Travel Insurance and immunisations.
