BALWADI REPORT (2016 to 2017 ) The two Balwadis were successfully run in Dapodi slums by our two teachers Sangita Bhalerao and Sunanda kamble two assistant teachers and Chhaya Bhalerao and Sarita. Amrapali Balwadi continues in Jai Bheem Nagar and Gautami Balwadi continues in Railway chal. 43 children’s that are 15 Girls and 28 boys learnt to write English, Marathi Alphabets, numbers 1 to 100, poems, identity colors, shapes charts of animals. Birds, flowers, fruits, vegetables parts of the body, vehicles, wild animal’s storytelling, source of water, Different type of threads were taught to the children as part of the syllabus. In the Balwadis we organized programs like Independence Day, Republic Day, Teachers Day, Children’s Day, celebrating children’s Birthday, self introduction and names of flowers, fruits, animal’s birds’ vegetables, colors’ parts of Body. Teachers and supervisor arranged meetings of parents where the teachers interacted with the parents and told them about the progress of the children. 91% attended the meetings and appreciated their children’s progress. We organized monthly checkup of children, if any children have problem doctor has given the medicine to the children. For this check up program Dr. Sandhya Kambale who is the O.P.D Dr. of Bahujan Hitay Pune Project checks the children’s weights and gave tonic to children.. We also celebrated their birthdays and gave them presents. Children received 4 eggs per week from National Egg Corporation. BALWADI REPORT (2016 to 2017 )

The two Balwadis were successfully run in Dapodi slums by our two teachers Sangita

Teachers, assistant teachers and supervisor organized the home visits of children to know

about the opinion of parents about children growth, through home visit we understood that

parents are very happy with children progress and habit of eating chapatti and vegetables. Also

they count the numbers from 1 to 100, also write the Alphabet in Marathi and English, also

singing poems.
