BALI - SEMINYAK - MENJANGAN - UBUD – CANDIDASA

Day 1 Bali - Seminyak

Welcome Packet upon arrival Upon clearing Customs and Immigration, you are met by our guide who will be carrying an ICS Travel Group sign which will note your name. Your guide will present you with a welcome packet including all necessary documentation and vouchers and all contact information of your guide and local offices. Arrival in Bali and transfer to the hotel in Seminyak area. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at The Kayana Seminyak. Overnight in Seminyak.

Day 2 Seminyak - Menjangan (Breakfast: Hotel / Lunch: Cempaka Belimbing Villas / Restaurant )

In the morning drive to Pemuteran with a short stop at a traditional market in Tabanan. A little further stop in Belimbing village to take a coffee and stretch your legs with a walk through the rice fields. On arrival at Banjar village visit the Brahma-Vihara, a Buddhist monastery. The monastery is presided over by one of Balis few Buddhist monks. The ashram is set into a hillside and features statues of Buddha alongside Balinese decorative carvings and door guardians. As you drive further towards Pemuteran the area becomes less populated and much quieter. The highlight of Western Bali is the magnificent coral reef round Menjangan Island, part of the Bali Barat National Park. The area is a perfect nature retreat where deer can often be seen wandering onto the beach. Arrive at your hotel, check-in and relax. Overnight at Plataran Menjangan. Overnight in Menjangan.

Day 3 Menjangan (Breakfast: Hotel / Lunch: Meals incl. in itinerary (Indonesia) )

This morning board a boat for a private cruise to Menjangan Island. The island offers the finest diving and snorkelling in Bali. Feel the ocean breeze and listen to the sound of the waves as you relax on the boat. There are opportunities to swim, snorkel and dive around the island. Lunch will be enjoyed on board the boat. On arrival back at the hotel, the rest of the afternoon will be at leisure. Overnight at Plataran Menjangan. Overnight in Menjangan.

Day 4 Menjangan - Ubud (Breakfast: Hotel / Lunch: The View Restaurant by Plataran/Munduk Singaraja )

Check out and start the drive to Ubud. Stop along the way at Munduk village, a fertile area of tropical rainforest where coffee, cloves, bamboo, and fruit such as bananas and mangosteen are grown. Trek down to the Munduk waterfall to enjoy the cold spring water. Taking the scenic road to Bedugul you will see the Twin Lakes of Tamblingan and Buyan. These two serene lakes are situated in old volcanic craters surrounded by untouched nature. Lunch will be served in a restaurant in Munduk. Continue to the sacred water temple of Ulun Danu, built on small islands in the serene Lake Beratan. This 17th century iconic temple is dedicated to Dewi Danu, the goddess of the lake. The smooth reflective surface of the surrounding water creates the impression that the temple is floating. Stroll around the traditional Candi Kuning market where many fruits, vegetables and orchids are for sale. On arrival at Ubud, check-in at the hotel. Overnight at Amandari Ubud. Overnight in Ubud.

Day 5 Ubud (Breakfast: Hotel )

The entire day is free for you to relax or do some more exploring. Overnight at Amandari Ubud Overnight in Ubud.

Day 6 Ubud - Candidasa (Breakfast: Hotel / Lunch: Cascades Restaurant )

Late morning depart from the hotel to Ubud. Visit Neka Museum owned by art dealer Suteja Neka. The museum features a collection of works by Balinese, Indonesian and western artists. Continue to Puri Saren Palace, more commonly known as Ubud Palace. It stands in the heart of Ubud. Even though the local royal family reside here, you are still free to roam through the pavillions. Enjoy a delicious lunch in a restaurant overlooking the valley. Then continue to Candidasa following a winding road through Sibetan. Stop to take a stroll through a salak snakefruit palms plantation. On arrival at Candidasa check in to the hotel. Overnight at Amankila. Overnight in Candidasa.

Day 7 Candidasa (Breakfast: Hotel / Lunch: Candi Beach Resort & Spa/Restaurant )

This morning set off on a two-hour trek. The walk takes you through stunning scenery with views of rice fields backed by Mount Agung. See how the locals go about their daily lives and stop to buy some traditional souvenirs from them. The trek ends at the traditional village of Tenganan Pagringsingan. The community of this village descend from the pre-Majapahit kingdom in Bali. As an original Balinese village, there are strict rules to be followed. Only those born in the village can stay and become full members of the community. Anyone who marries outside of the village has to leave. Their rules also apply to nature and they cannot cut down a tree without approval from the village head and community. As you walk the guide will explain the rules and unique traditions of the village. Relax over lunch at a Balinese pavilion overlooking Candidasa with the ocean behind. Return to the hotel and relax for the rest of the afternoon. Overnight at Amankila. Overnight in Candidasa.

Day 8 Candidasa (Breakfast: Hotel ) Check out and transfer to the airport, or to your next hotel in Bali. End of Tour
